I can do any sites-Looking for trades

I am looking to get a 60gb iPod video (black) and haven't signed up for any freebie sites that require referals. I have only done DYI sites (which IMO suck because of the wait) I am open to do many trades for refs to get my ipod. Thing is though, I am not sure how the trading works.

If you need a ref from me, do I need to do an initial offer after signing up for the site you are using? Basically doing 2 offers. Am I able just to do your ref, by signing up and just using your link? I see on these sites, that you need to do an initial offer, then refer 8 friends or whatever. I just want to do the initial offer for my site, then for you members to do my referals. I have no problem doing refs, but do I need to do the initial offer after signing up?

Any help is appreciated. I am a newb when it comes to refferal sites, so any help is good. Thanks in advance!
