Yup that guy burned me today claiming to be you and even PM'd me using IimZ using an "I" instead of a little "L". The bastard.

Then he had the nerve to say he's reporting me to gratis for spam. I hope they see through this guy.

WTF? Ok first of all, I'd never approach someone and OFFER a 2 for 1 deal. I'm not that dumb. Why would I initiate a trade that would not be in my favor? 2-for-1 is alot of work on my part, not to mention that would be one less offer I can complete and one less site I can trade with.

Second of all, that's just scary that someone would impersonate me. I mean, I consider myself a pretty nice gal and all, but what could you have to gain from it? My trade record is pretty decent, but I'm no "wood" or "PodTopia." Why go for the cheeseburgers of the world, when you can easily get the filet mignon? Or maybe that was the strategy to begin with.

What was this guy saying? I hope he wasnt' mean or abusive. To quote GrAfiX, "BASTARD."

Just to let people know, I initiate all trades through PM. My AIM screenname is also different from my forum name. If you have any doubts about who you're dealing with, request that they send you a PM through the forum. This is a good rule to follow in general, ESPECIALLY if someone contacts you out of the blue on IM.

In fact, I recommend taking your AIM name off your profile all together. Talking on AIM really is a great way to hammer out the nitty-gritty details of a trade, but you can easily exchange AIM screennames through PM. You did the right thing, GrAfiX... I'm sorry he tried to pull this slilili!

This is the REAL LizM, who is now feeling slightly dirty for unwittingly being an instrument of scammery. She's also filled with righteous anger, yet slightly and strangely flattered that someone would even think to impersonate her.

It's ok, Liz... Live and Learn I guess. I just hope that I don't lose my already 9 referrals for my PhotoIpod which are all legit. That's why I used such profanities cause now I'm worried I worked hard for those.

Thanks for the tip about AIM, I did take all my IM off of there that way I won't be bombarded with IM's from scammers.

I doubt he'll be able to do anything to your photoipod account. Gratis really isn't interested in scammers. As long as they get paid, that's all they care about. Plus it would be nearly impossible to authenticate so many claims. Congrats on your 9 refs... that takes alot of hard work!

I got talked to by another scammer pretending to be you ScarlettsMom, There AIM nic was "ScarIettsMom" Notice the I again.

Grrrrr... I did however PM Scarlet on here to do a trade with you because of it. So I'll wait to hear back from her in PM. D
