60GB Photo Ipods - Do You Really Need 60GB? + No Dock?

this is true...right? no dock with photo ipods...wtf? Especially now that they have S-Video ouputs on the dock, it would sure be nice to get one included with the photo.

Also, i'm gettin a 60GB sometime soon with FreePhotoipods, but I'm wondering if I should just sell the 60GB model on eBay and then buy a 30GB on Apple.com. I really don't think I will need 60GB, plus they are much thicker...I am hearing. Also, I would be able to get something inscribed on the back of the poddy!

I don't really understand the point of a dock anyway. They're overpriced, and IMO pointless.

Seriously, I don't use a dock, only the crap it came with to charge it.

I think that the dock is a neat item to have especially because the Photo Ipod docks have S-Video outputs on them. But why aren't they included with Photo iPods?

you can use it as an external hard drive... so 60 is a great amount, and if it was more that would still be good, never a waste

yes, you can use it as an external HD, but the 60GB Model is much thicker...don't u think?

i went through this same situation. I chose to return the 60 to the apple store and i received $480 on a gift card. I got the 30 gig photo for $320 with money left to buy whatever accessories i want )

yea, I think that's what I will do soon.
