Getting video on the PSP could be the biggest pain in the ass I've ever seen. You must first find the title you want to rip, rip the DVD in DVD Decrypter, then open up PSP Video 9 and encode it, then transfer it to the PSP.
They're practically ENCOURAGING you to use file sharing (AVIs, MPEGs are easier to get on the PSP). I may just have to give up on the whole DVD issue.

It's incredible. It's 120 AM here, and the only reason I'm keeping my PC on is to do all of this stuff. Then I have to switch to Mac to use FTP to download some stuff off of this new PSP FTP server I found ).

why don't you just use a pc ftp client?

Because all of the programs for PC are a pain in the ass (to encode for PSP), and I need to get on the Mac for something else anyway.

HAHA! I was just browsing the net and found that PlayBoy makes images and videos specifically for download on the PSP. Picture yourself on the subway with someone next to you watching porn, lol. Well, they already made a package for iPod photos, so I guess it had to come to this. It's specifically formatted, and the "softcore" stuff is free.

Someone will come out with a better App for doing video/pictures/music on the PSP. I'm using RaPiZ Video converter right now. No DVDs, just TV files.

Yeah, I've resorted to just TV also. I need to find a good DVD to AVI converter. THen I can put the AVIs onto my PSP through another converter.

It's funny though. What I'm REALLY loving is the MAX Media Converter that came with my USB Cable from EBGames. When I bought it, I figured, "Eh, I'll never use it." But it encodes and puts a 30-minute AVI on my PSP in less than 3 minutes.

Can anyone link to a good site on converting avi and/or dvd to PSP?

I can give you a guide (but not right now) but there's no specific program.
