ugh my mouse gets really dirty
like the little wheels that the ball moves around
any ideas on ways to keep from collecting dirt? besides buying a better mouse?
when I used to have a ball mouse this would always happen to me and it still does (at work), I have no way of keeping out the dirt so I just make it my weekly routine of cleaning the mouse out

when i used my crappy mac back in the ball with a ball-mouse. I just used my fingers to get the dirt out, and that condensed air stuff.

Why not just buy an optical mouse for < $10? No more cleaning.

Yea, buy an optical. Solves the problem permanently.

If you're getting an optical (I am not sure about this anymore, but this used to be the case about a year ago) make sure to try flicking it hard and seeing if it messes up or not. In games for example, flicking the mouse will make it go in a random direction or just not move at all. The newer models don't have this problem though.. I think. But it's good to check if you are investing < $10.
