Since I have a PSP that I got at launch, I was thinking I would return my free one to Best Buy for store credit. I have coupons, gift cards, etc that would make for good game purchases.
Has anyone returned theirs for store credit? Any issues without a receipt?
Thanks!

i think that it all depends on your local BB...i tried to exchange my 20g ipod for a 30g ...but they wouldnt let me...if you hold on to it until xmas time i think that you will have a better chance of getting store credit cuz it seems that their return policy is much more lax then

I know Walmart will take just about anything back... especially for store credit. I was just hoping to be able to use my coupons & gift cards too. But I guess ~$250 should suffice for at least a few games. lol
Walmart would prob even honor the competitor coupons too. May have to try that.

OK. Got shot down at Walmart. According to Customer Service, Sony uses some kind of tracking system for PSPs (and PS2). They claim that this has been a very common issue with the PS2 in the past. When they scanned the system and tried to return it, it came back with an error. Apparently this system has never been "sold" according to Sony.
Interesting... They gave me a number to call and find out what the deal is. They tried, but no one ever answered.
Long story, short --- looks like it will be on eBay as soon as the rush is over.
Anyone else had any experiences trying to return the Free PSP anywhere? I just want games, etc in exchange so I'm open to anywhere.

I did a managment internship at wal-mart last summer and that system is pretty good for wal-marts sake. Usually just calling the number was enough for the customer who knew they got it from target or w/e to just say nevermind lol. good thought but they will know that you didnt get it from a wal-mart.
