New Moderator Nomination Thread - FreeiPodGuide Forums

Alright guys.

I don't have enough time to police the forums enough, nor to keep the GTL up to date. We need at least one more active mod.

So here's your chance. Nominate one or two people here to be FiPG's newest mod. You can't nominate yourself.

Please please please nominate based on how well you think they will moderate, not how much you like the person.

I'm going to go ahead and limit this to people with at least 200 posts and at least 5 TR.

The top 5 or so nominated folks will be run-off in a poll here in Off-Topic in a few days, and the winner given trial mod status on all forums.

Runners-up will get some kind of custom title, or something.

So, in short, post nominations here, and only nominations here. If you feel the need to discuss this, please create a new thread. Since I'm sure this will happen rather quickly, make sure to check for a discussion thread before you make a new one.

Well my vote is for Sweedfish, personally I don't want another mod that whines,complains, or makes useless posts all the time. Not saying that any mods here do that...

I think a mod needs to be mature and not like most of the kids on this site.

roll , You do know there is a difference when someone actually assumes the modding posistion right? I've been a mod on a sub section of a forums before, and its a world of difference how we must act and such. I mean if im not a mod i can be as childish as i want (within reason) but if im a mod i would have to present myself differently.

Why should quantity of posts be an issue when deciding upon a mod? A mod can have ten posts.. doesnt matter, as long as hes taking care of his assigned forums then he is doing his job well. Sweeed is on the forums constantly, hes very helpful to new traders and Im damn proud to call him a friend of mine. I think he'd be an excellent mod, and to all of you other guys who seem to think otherwise, maybe you need to calm down a bit.. 1) accept the fact that you're probably jealous over his TR. 2) accept that this mod spot isnt a matter of life and death.. its a freaking title on a message board. Stop making it such a big deal and get over yourselves.

The reason I voted for sweeedfish is that a moderator at this forum needs to be well versed in trades and around enough to moderate. There is no reason a moderator has to participate in every discussion.

Since the main purpose of this mod seems to be to have another person around to update the trading list (so it gets updated more than once a week) I think a person with damn near 100 trades under his belt would be perfect for this job.

I voted for Collateral because he is around and seems to know whats going on.

This is not a revote, just clearing things up.

That is an attack actually. EatChex has proven himself mature enough on more than one occasion, there should be no reason to refer to him as a child as a derogatory term.
