"trades" icon....how to?

ok so i've searched around on here and i can't figure out how to add trades to the "trades" icon on the top right of the screen.

someone listed a trade for me, that i owe him a green....but how do i add people who owe ME a green?

dont waste your breath saying i'm stupid or anything. a simple question requires a simple answer.

go to their profile and select initiate trade with user

ok i got that far.
now when i try to put my status (requestor) as "gone green"
it says "failed, nice try loser"

how do i show that i've gone green if it gives me that message?

(im trying to make a record of people who are taking 3+ weeks to go green)

i don't have much experience with it, but it might be on a time delay to prevent fraud. or the other person might need to confirm the trade before you can change the status. probably that.

i noticed that someone else put me on their trading list, so i decided to keep track of other people.

well, i haven't confirmed a trade with someone, but their status says "green"....i dunno maybe the time delay thing is correct.
i guess i'll just wait and see

We just sent 10 pms back and forth, all i'm saying is you could have asked then, instead of creating an entire thread about it.

Trades now have to be confirmed before you can update your status. That "gone green" probably went into effect before I changed the code to reflect that.

Edit Ok, that's kind of silly. Now you just have to confirm your trade before requesting TR. You can still set other statuses.

i completed a trade with someone and he said gave me +1 through the "Trades" button. but i dont see that point on my profile.

second, i am trying to give him his point through the Trades button "TR Credited", and when i do, it says "Failed. You probably need to confirm your trade before requesting TR." but our trade is confirmed. it says "conf? YES"

i'm confused.
how do i give and receive the +1 in the Trades module?

Both parties need to "Request TR" - then it alerts an active moderator and assuming the trade is valid, we credit it then. You can't set your status to "TR Credited" because only mods can credit TR (duh).
