I was SO lucky and happened to be at the movies about a month ago the DAY the presale began for the 1201 show. I snatched 2 of them up as quickly as I could. From all of the reports I've heard, this one might actually NOT suck. Granted, the last 2 prequels were entertaining but there was something missing. Lucas better not let us down with this one...

On another note, they are planning a SW television show with live actors in the coming years. It's supposedly revolves around minor characters in the series. I can't wait to see how that turns out...

I'm seeing it at 1201, then the next morning probably twice..
I can't wait for this movie, and it feels like the Episode I hype is back, just not with the bad movie that follows.

I'm going the next morning at 1130 to see in on one of the big Ultra Screens, so it should be awesome. My local theatre is actually having a 3am showing after the midnight, but I can wait a few extra hours.

I hate to admit it, but I am DEFINITELY looking forward to this one. I have not read any of the books, so I am looking to close the loop on some of the outstanding details.

A local theater is showing it at midnight and another starting at 1230. The 1230 is still available, so I may pick up a ticket or two for that. Need to see if I can recruit any other suckers.

Otherwise, I will definitely see on Thursday during the day.

All I have to say is that Episode 3 was [u0495ed3221]fucking amazing[/u0495ed3221]. Honestly, although it had it's faults, I can say (at least right now) that it is my favorite SW movie. Now that it's 4am, I must sleep.

I saw it at 1201 last night too. I thought it was pretty aweomse. The most CG i've seen in a movie like that. I thought the talk of the movie though was a little bland. But all in all i love the Starwars movies and this one was pretty good

My thoughts exactly. I think Lucas deserves some credit for tying up so many loose plot elements. The effects were amazing as well, especially the opening scene. My girlfriend even liked it! Two thumbs way up.

How long did the people who saw it at 1201 wait in line? We got there at 630 and sat on the floor in line (we were about 20 people back) until they let us in at 10. Our seats were dead center at perfect eye level. I can't wait to see it again tomorrow.

19-05-2005 13:09:32

i didnt wait either time. my theater which has 24 movie screens was already showing it on 6 screens. then they decided to open 2 more theathers and they started selling tickets at 930 so me and my buddies went there got tickets and came back at 1130 walked right in and had great seats. nobody knew about the other showings so there was no lines but at the other 6 theathers the lines where huge. tons of people dressed up and people were having light saber wars outside the news was there and shit it was crazy. This is prolle the biggest theater in atlanta

I also ended up going to the midnight showing last ngiht. I drove past one of the local theaters --- on a Stabucks run --- and they were still pre-selling tickets. This was at 930. Picked up my ticket with no waiting in line.

I showed up around 1115 and got a decent seat when they opened up the doors at 1130. There was a huge high-school age crowd and a few others. Saw a ~5-6 year old boy dressed up like Vader.

I am a huge fan of the SW movies and was VERY much looking forward to this one. I didn't know the storline until I played the damn game last week. I gave up about half-way through because I didn't want to spoil any more of the movie. Definitely too much given away in the game, but it is very cool to play after watching the movie. The extra maps are cool too (old style Vader vs. Obi).

Two thumbs up!!!

I went with my friends and there was a line alll down the side of the building, wrapped around. We got our tickets in advanced. When they started letting people in we just walked to the front and got in practically first. Haha no one would have done anything it was funny. We were the first into an empty theater and got top row middle seats. Sweeett

Didn't Natalie Portman look freakishly wierd on the one scene where she's out on the balcony combing her curly hair. Her face looked greasy and her cheeck bones were very protruding. Made me laugh )

I didn't wait in line. However, I made the stupid mistake of going to the teather just 1 hour before they started the movie. We had to split with my friends, but I got lucky and found a very nice seat .

my friend commented on that too. Oh well, shes still totally hot, heh.

As a HUGE fan of the whole franchise I can say I was very very satisfied with this film.

Better then Empire Strikes Back? Meh, I don't think so at this point after watching it three times, but its pretty darn close.. Empire is still the best, with Revenge of the Sith in a very close second.

Go see this movie NOW, even if youre not a fan of the series.. It's not just a good Star Wars movie, its a good movie period.

I thought Natalie Portman looked like an alien, even more than usual. She also had on a little too much makeup, especially for being wartime and all. I'm off to see the movie again so it really doesn't bother me too much.

Is this sith thing really as good as your all cracking it up to be?

That is, would it still have an impact on me despite the fact that i don't care about the characters?

It was decent, better than ep 1 and 2 and maybe 6 but I can't believe how bad some of that dialog was. Special Effects were over the top at times but still quite enjoyable. Lose ends were tied together quite well. I also thought that the ending was rushed and could have been stretched another 10 minutes. Its about what I expected.

Oh ya, Portman couldn't act to save her life in that movie. Was it just the dialog or is she really that bad?

Are you kidding? Natalie Portman is an AMAZING actor. It was the script that made her words corny. Lucas was on acid when he made Ep 1. Sobered up for Ep 2. I think Revenge of the Sith was by far the best of the prequels. Better than Empire Strikes back? No. But definitely up there. It had corny and mushy stuff. But its all in good fun. Remember its Star Wars.

And lets not forget Jar Jar. Did we hear him say anything? Exactly. Finally took down notes of what fans had to say. Extremely [i83f0ed5fe1]dark[/i83f0ed5fe1]. I didn't see the midnight showing this time around although I did see the last one at Grauman's Chinese. Went to the night of opening day and it still had a good crowd. There were no constant screaming where you couldn't hear anything but there were cheers. And there's still unanswered questions but I'm rather glad Lucas did that. Debates for another 2 or 3 decades. )
