Has anyone done the Consumer Info offer that's on the free360xbox.com Gratis site?

How much do you have to pay and how fast do they credit? Any good or bad experiences with this offer?

It's about the only one I can do on the site..... (

I've done it. It's a 7 day free trial with a $1 processing fee if I can remember correctly.

I haven't been credited but I did it on Saturday so hopefully in the next couple days or so. Be aware that you do have to give your SSN for any credit reporting.

no consumer is an instant crediting offer that cost NOTHING
unless you keep it past the trial. When i did it I didnt get instant credit
insted i had to send my confirmation email 4 times to gratis and wait 15 days... roll

cinnabar the offer you are thinking of is privacy matters. That one took 6 days to credit when i did it (

WRONG
It DOES cost $1 for a 7 day trial
It IS instant. I got credit within 10 minutes of completion.

Be advised, this only gives you a credit report.
Your actual credit rating costs an extra $5...

On a side note, I tried doing Privacy Matters, and it wouldn't let me submit my information.

After trying 5 times I gave up and did another credit report offer.
Two days later I get an email from gratis saying "You completed the Privacy Matters offer!"

Needless to say I am going to have to call sometime today and get it straightened out... roll

I completed it on Saturday for a freeipodshuffles.com trade. It stated that it was a 30-day free trial. It was supposed to be an instant credit, but I guess even the instant ones don't credit on weekends. Hopefully it will go green sometime today.

Instant offers credit 24/7 - 365 days a year.

I got credit on christmas! lol just kidding...but seriously...they would credit you if you did an instant.

Privacy Matters has the worst customer service........I was on hold for 25 freakin minutes this morning to cancel & they'll charge you 7 days after the free trial not 30 like it says. roll

Well, that certainly is annoying. I have never had any problems with receiving credit for offers before, I just hope it goes ahead and credits today. I'm assuming that if I send them a service ticket they will just tell me to wait 15 days? The stipulation of the trade was that I do an instant offer, so having to wait 15 days would not be good.

I remember someone saying you need to give them your SS#. Is that the case?

Yes, you need your SSN for Consumer Info in order for them to pull your credit report.

this offer takes a couple days to green...just checked it and it was green(monday)

one day, a couple days, i dont mind that. just when an offer is advertised as "instant" and takes 10+ days, that's annoying.

thanks for the answers guys, i'll be doing this offer!

vdubgirl

23-05-2005 11:41:01

i'm doing the offer and here's what it says

"You will not be charged for your free credit report and free trial membership. However, valid credit card information is required to start your free 30-day trial membership. You may cancel your free trial membership at any time. However, you must tell us during your free 30-day trial that you do not want to continue your membership past the trial period, otherwise, you are hereby authorizing the $9.95 monthly fee to automatically be charged to the credit card account below. "

also, you aren't able to view your actual credit score without paying $5 for a "PLUS" report. but you're able to view all your loans and other info about yourself. it'll give you an indication underneath each loan as to your status....current, 90 days late, bankrupt, etc.

Yeah, it seemed like a good offer to me. I signed up for it on Saturday with freeipodshuffle.com, but still have not received credit. I sent in a customer service ticket this afternoon, so hopefully I will get credit soon. I've never had any problems before with being credited, but this time I used Firefox to complete the offer, so maybe that had something to do with it.

I've done both Consumer info (for FreeDigitalCameras.com) and privacy matters (for freephotoiPods.com). Both have worked for me, just fine.

Consumer info (FreeDigitalCameras.com)
have not yet been charged (will be canceling it in the next week - reported 30 day trial - we'll see when I cancel) - greened within 1 week (don't remember exactly when)

Privacy Matters (freephotoiPods.com)
10 day trial, greened w/in a few days (don't remember exactly) - was charged $1

Neither one gave me any problems, and I learned a lot about my credit from them. Consumer info gives you one credit report for free and charges you for the other 2 major companies or to see your credit score. Privacy matters will show you all of those things (it is a little bit of a hassle having to call the company and verify or whatever) but you get a full credit report and information on how to improve. I learned a lot.
