I went to webcertificate to give a friend one and then it wouldn't let me. Is this a global thing and if it is, why did they do that? Also, I would like to know if there are any other types of these virtual credit cards. Thanks

Yeah, they did. To me it's a shame because I used the site legitimately for years before they became popular with the "free" sites.
