I think that auction might be illegal. Theres this thing called the international star registry and it might contain one of the starts in that galaxy, since a galaxy is constructed of million upon millions of stars.

thats actually a scam...nobody owns any stars, so nobody can sell them or rename them etc. i was going to do this as a gift for someone but after reading about it being fake i decided not to....i did however buy my wife an acre of the moon....which also probably fake but oh well.

Well you can buy a star, just have it registered in the international star registry and its yours. probably costs money though.

nasa done this thing a few years ago where they collected thousands of people names (with their permission) and were going to put them on a cd or something and send them into space on a satellite......i dont think there was a point to it other than having your name in space......to get your name on the cd, you had to sign up at
