For Miami's sake I sure hope Wade can play on Monday or I think the Pistons more or less get a free pass to the Finals. They looked pretty pathetic out there last night, while the pistons dominated....Anyone else watch the game?

Since the Pistons/Pistons fans always whine about the refs, i'll whine about this if you do win tomorrow night against us, it'll be with all 5 of our starters have some sort of injury or another. Just like the Pacers last series, and just like the Lakers last Finals ;)
That being said, Wade will come out and give it his all. If I know him as well as I think I do, the Pistons are in BIG trouble.

everyone loves to hate us. Rasheed was RIGHT. Did you watch in the early 2nd quarter shaq had one foul and I said to everyone in the room, shaq is going to get an offensive foul. bang. done. Stern knows what pays the bills. He has cock envy for the NFL. Stars run the league and he can't bear to watch another no name team win the championship.
- and wade pulled his back flopping on all those fake charges. absolutely incredible that they called those. eh. miami will most likely win. and wade IS incredible.

I didn't whine about the refs at all, and I'd blame the fact that all the Heat's starters are less than 100% on the fact that Van Gundy isn't the greatest coach. The latter part of game 6 with the game out of hand he had no buisness playing Shaq or Eddie Jones.....I kinda think that with O'Neil's stamina in question he should have been resting him. Then you are going to take away from the Pistons b/c Wade had a freak accident? I mean that sucks, but it's not like 'Sheed walked up a decked him. I don't know, I just think it's been a great series, and the team that wins will be the team most likely to be able to compete w/ the Spurs, and with all the injuries I think that Detroit matches up better.

Were traders. I think you want to say he turned his back on LA. Well thats bs. He hated Kobe too much to play anymore with him. Kobe is an ass, nobody wants to play with him. How can you blame Shaq. Plus with Wade its more lethal of a combo. Wade isnt selfish like Kobe as shown by his 9-10 assists a game. Wade is faster than Kobe, meaning Wade can get into the lane and dish to Shaq more effectively. Teammates want to play for Wade. When Nocioni pushed Wade to the floor the entire team took Wades back. If that wer Kobe Im sure Shaq wouldve helped Nocioni or wouldve done nothing. Kobe w/o Shaq = no playoffs. Wade w/o Shaq = 2nd round of the playoffs taking the team with the best record in the league last year to the brink as a rookie. Kobe might be a better shooter but as seen throughout the year Wades shot is getting much better, plus he rarely forces his shots. In conclusion Id say Shaq did the smartest thing possible. He knew his career was in decline and that he needed a stong young two guard to compliment his game all the while making the young guard go from potential star to a legend. Reminds me of kareem and Magic. Kinda like what they say as much as things change they always stay the same. Oh yeah LAKERS SUX

He doesnt rely on his shot like Kobe. If it effects his movement to make drives to the basket then Id be worried, but he doesnt need to rely on his jumpshot.

FYI, he's always worn that flat jacket type shirt during the regular/post season. The only thing extra he's going to wear is a gel-type wrap around to protect it even more. I doubt that will affect his game though.

i still think that if Kobe wasnt so damn selfish that he lakers wouldve beat Det last season. They were definetely more talented. And remember I do hate the lakers. Ive never seen one player shoot his entire team out of a finals series like that before. Its too bad the teams the pistons play arent at full strength. Indiana/Nj last year. Ind and Mia this year. I do think Det is the best defensive team pretty much ever but they can be beat.

Yea, I know Kobe is an ass but if you are under contact and you are a professional you do your job. Shaq was bitching about an extention in camp. He said extention or trade me. I think when Kobe said he should have paid off the girl like Shaq does that was it. They both have to big-o-ego's. They could have won a few more if they would have chilled out. I liked the fact that Kobe fell on his face this year to show him he isn't God or MJ. He should have asked McGrady how he liked playing in Orlando, not much fun. And Kupchack should be fired for giving away Shaq for Odem and Grant! At least we are getting Garnett next year! Kobe's a bitch but I'm a Laker fan forever, win or lose. No bandwagon here.

heres the stats from last finals
LAKERS PPG RPG APG
S. O'Neal 26.6 10.8 1.6
K. Bryant 22.6 2.8 4.4
D. Fisher 6.4 3.0 1.8
D. George 5.8 2.8 0.6
K. Malone 5.0 7.3 2.3
If anyone got shut down its Kobe. Thats not even looking at his shooting percantage. if I remember correclty kobe avg. = 27, 6, 6. those #'s fell across the board against the Pistons. Wades avgs have increased against DET. Shaq's # are pretty similar to his career #'s. ben didnt shut Shaq down. Kobe shot em out of the game so whatever Shaq did it seemed insignificant. he kinda looked as though he didnt want to even play defense. Let B wallace take wide open 10 footers wo even a hand up. Could tell Shaq was like if this idiot keeps taking 20 foot miracles, I aint playing defense.

Ya maybe if it isnt this big of a stage. Shaq left him wide open daring him to shoot. You know L. Brown worked with B wallace to improve that jumper. Any player witha pulse on defense wouldve put at least a hand up. If he wasnt Shaq he wouldve been grilled for the lack of defense. He looked almost disinterested and was willing to accept his fate after game 1. Plus did anyone on the lakers team even congratualte Kobe for winning game 1 at the buzzer. I dont think so.. I think D fisher got mor elove for his .4 miracle shot then Kobe did. people i know have even said Kobe's shot was more lucky than Fisher's

Sorry game time is fast approaching and Ive thrown away any unbiased analysis of the series. I am a Heat fan. hard for me to say, especially considering I use to love the Knicks when they had Ewing, Starks, Oakley, Houston, Camby, and spree and all those hated playoff series against Miami. Wow D Wade must really be that good considering I wouldve stabbed any member of the Heat team in the late 90's to the point where I now call myself a heat fan. Oh yeah the reason no one respects Det is b/c everyone knows their one hit wonders. My friend asked me 2 motnhs after the finals last year who i thought would win it. I remeber telling him I dont know its wide open. He asked me if Det could do it and I said no. He asked why, I tolde him bc Det surprised many teams last yr with their swarming defense and how good it really was. Next year teams will be ready for that. And if anyone still believes the US team wouldve lost at the Olympics if they started Wade, Bron, AI, Duncan, and A stoudamire, just have not watched enough of these young cats play. I know D wade still is angry over playing time in Athens and wants to show every night to Larry Brown that he deserved to play.

Everything I said about the heat in midseason proved to be true. I said they were too inexperienced and their lineup was too unbalanced against a dominant team like Det, SA, and even Min. when they have their act together, hell even Den late season, and PHX as well. They did a god damn great job of masking those difficiencies and I even became a believer in them getting a title. They did give it their all and had the game well within their hands towards the end of the game. Definetely reason to hang your head but it was still an amazing season. They gave it their all and came within 2-3 min of going to the finals. Wade as well has no reason to hang his head, Jordan was beat many times by Det before he became the greatest. They should take this entire year as a building process. Success isnt acheived overnight it takes years. Im almost happy Det beat them b/c Det did play good and showed them exactly what it takes to win a title. Poise under pressure, execution, and extreme confidence in yourself and your team in a big game. These are the psychological skills needed to be a winner in the NBA. Well after that rant only two things left to say.
1. Miami needs more to add another savvy veteran ( Horry, Barry, M. James) just someone who has playoff experience and has come through. PF slot is also kind of week. Hashish Wallace made shots at will in the series. Another def guard would help as well. D jones and Dooling werent strong enough to guard billups.
2. Go Spurs.
sub plots
who guards Duncan ( do they just mix it up like with Shaq ?)
who guards Manu ( Tayshaun will get dizzy chasing him ?)
who the hell does Billups guard ( Bowen ?)

Well I think Duncan is a lot easier to guard than Shaq, b/c of the fact that he isn't so beefy, and I think either of the Wallaces match up better with him than they did Shaq.
Manu is going to be tough...I'd put Hamilton on him myself....Prince was too slow to guard Wade, and I think he's too slow to guard Manu as well.
Like it or not Billups will pry guard Parker, who is quicker but smaller and then I would guess Prince will match up on Bowen. But I'm not Larry Brown so I guess we can only wait and see....You were right though, Wade is going to be an unbelievable player barring injuries, and the Heat had a great year.

Duncan is a very tough cover. Ill even say now that hes a tougher cover than Shaq. His #'s are isane 26 14.7 3 and like 3 blocks. Hasheesh Wallace is probably the best cover b/c hes most likely to get under Duncan's skin. Might be counterproductive however Duncan doesnt get rattled too often and often frustrates whoever guards him. B wallace is the better choice but if he guards Duncan he cant leave him when theres penetration. Parker is way too quick for Billups. Billups is very slow his power allows him to play the way he does. If they leave Billups on Parker hell be driving to the basket creating havoc every play. Hamilton vs. Ginnobilli is good. Gonna actually be a real good series. Two evenly matched teams.
