Today at my nephew's baseball game my iPod froze...so now its frozen, with the backlight on...and it won't do anything!! Won't even reboot ( Off to Google to figure out what to do.

try connecting it to a computer or to the wall charger.....see if that kicks back into gear.

that sucks, hopefully you can get it fixed. I had a dream my ipod was so scratched and messed up that the metal part had like, twisted metal lol. I R E A L L Y need to get a case for mine.

Very true...I did try rebooting...apparently the way you reboot a 3rd Gen (Holding Play & Menu). Holding Select & Menu rebooted it and now I'm good to go ) Thanks!

i had the EXACT same problem. i had to wait until the battery died. NOTHING else worked, after that it worked OK, sometimes now though it resets itself now and then ?

reformat or restore will clear your HD...reboot is just restarting it.
