Terrorist attack

This post is not meant to argue. It is just to pay respect to the deceased due to this tragic event. If you feel like sharing your sentiments than post after me but please do not insult someone or make this topic go off thread.

i just wanted to let people know, incase nobody did know, that a member of our forums "nicd.01" was arriving in London this morning.

he told me that he was meant to be getting in around 9am London time, so i dont think he would have been caught up in it.

its also been happening in my hometown Edinburgh, controlled explosions and evacuations and shit.

anyway, lets hope this is the last of it (in the coming days i mean).

just before i went to bed this morning at about 4am EST, i checked the BBC website and it said, breaking news, 4 explosions in the london underground.....but that was just as it had happened and they were putting it down to a power surge...i told my wife and she said, that doesnt sound right, something is wrong.

guess she was right.

Comppimp, i dont exactly agree with your previous statements eariler. Most people from the Middle East are peaceful people, its those few people that give them a bad name. Neitherless were not going to get into another arguement about it. So yea thats all i have to say.

If you read my previous posts CAREFULLY AND SLOW with some thought and common sense, before starting to spew "ignorant"/"fuck you"/etc (not you in particular CoMpFrEaK), you will notice that I never said that all/most middle easterners are voilent people. My only beef is that a large percentage of terrorists attacks are executed by middle easterners, and that's something that can't be disputed, just pure statistics/probability. Though it is sad that those few gives a whole a bad name.

Anyways, i'm not going to comment futher on this. I could've kept going on the other thread but decided against it.

I think global governments should push companies like GE to finish developing their bomb detecting machines (just like metal detectors, but for bombs). The devices are sort of like human capsules that take an air sample of whats inside which can then detect traces of bomb making powders among other things. It would increase the ability to scan people going in and out of mass transportation systems without bogging it down significantely.

3 or 4 US airports already have this technology. Although obviously more airports, and locations in general, need access to these devices.
