maybe try getting the new version (Adobe have bought it since it was Cool Edit Pro).......theyve added a bunch of stuff to it and usually when Adobe release somthing it can usually mean its a good app.
its not new in a new sense, but newer than Cool Edit Pro.

I have no idea how to. Is it a photoshop kind of thing? Because I'm a photoshop guy.
I've also used sound forge to edit music and stuff.

..depends what you're trying to do. I've been using CEP for years (since it was Cool Edit 95) and have never had a problem.

im trying to make music but i dont have a clue how.

not sure what cool edit is but if its a music making app then i am sure a MIDI keyboard is needed.
