1. Harry and his gang find our of this secreat stone that has magical powers to make ppl immortal. They destroyed Voldermorts plans to use that stone to come back to power.
2. The chamer of secreat is opened through a book Tom Riddle left behind years and years ago. Ginny Weasley opened the Chamber of Secreats, though in the end Harry once against destroyed the snake and make Hogwarts safe again.
3. Sirus Black has escaped from Azkaban, at first believed he was after Harry, though in the end it was known that he was back to get Peter Pettigrew, a traitor. Though Pettigrew escaped and Sirus was forced back into hiding.
4. The Goblet of Fire an event that takes place at Hogwarts every few years. Some mysterious person enrolled Harry into it, though in the end it was the imposter Mad Eye Moody, they enrolled Harry into it in attempts to revive Voldermort, and it succedded. Voldermort came back to power, and Fudge refused to believe it. Which basically created a wall of tension between the Ministry and Dumbledore.
5. Ack i forgot the title, and not as fun to explain, figure it out yourself;)

All of you should pick up a few copies of Harry Potter. If you've seen the movies start with book 4 (when they really start getting good), don't start with the new book 6.
I really think you will all love them. And if you're like me you'll have all of them in hardback and have reread them multiple times.

yeah they are good escape novels.....much like LOTR novels.....i would read LOTR and i would just get immersed in that world....it was fucked up....i just wanted to keep reading and reading and in a way i wanted the book(s) to not end.
apart from the obvious differences between Harry Potter and LOTR novels is that although Harry Potter is aimed towards younger people, its still a very good read. the more you read the more mature it gets (as well as the characters) and detailed. it doesnt go to the lengths that Tolkien went to but its still a very very good read.

The movies should only be watched by people who have read the books or kids. It's all about the books, remember, they came first. It's like you wouldn't read a Star Wars novel without having seen Star Wars right... because Star Wars The Movie came first, lol.
I just rewatched all 3 HP's last weekend and the first two are pretty shitzy... but the 3rd one is a major improvement, cinematically speaking, the stories in all 3 are excellent and well thought out.

Ive enjoyed finding a comfortable postiton in a bed or couch within reach of some snacks and reading whichever harry potter book i was working on for a few hours.....
Interestingly enough, it seems our new pope doesnt enjoy the harry potter series as much as I do... D he thinks it "seduces the youth" roll http//www.woai.com/news/local/story.aspx?content_id=A52DE4B0-66FB-4C64-AA7A-D8009084B79E

How are they allowed to do this? I would expect the book industry to put a price bar in which all vendors have to abide by for new releases. Anyways i dont mind paying a few $$ more for the book, just as long as i can get it early in the morning and be at least 1/2 done by 5PM lol

There are about 5 in DFW alone, I know for sure there is at least 1 in houston as well, and when I was venturing around in Phoenix I saw at least 1 there as well.
Not sure why there are so many in Texas though.

Borders has them for 40% off. I'll be heading in tonight to the store because even though my book is reserved, my spot is not. At a certain point they'll start passing out numbered slips for the line to buy the books at midnight. So that way you don't have idiots trying to run to the first spot and maiming small children who are there P Personally I'll be heading over with my laptop and headphones, will watch some anime or dvds while I'm waiting so no one will bother me until my friend gets there )

What is this book thing you all speak of. Is this the the stuff they fill those lubrary places with.
Cant rememeber the last fiction book I've read. Must have been like 5 years ago something either Stephon Crighton or one of those dudes. Book was cool and no it wasnt Jurrasic Park or one of those movie books. Last book I read must've been in college for some class. Probably for some English or Political Science class. Yes now I remember it was for my Politics of the Mideast class.
I read a book detailing the creation and coming up of the Taliban. This dude was an Afghan man who viewed everyhting that happened and has first person view at all the attrocities that were going on in Afghanistan and how America was funding the Taliban because they wanted to build an oil pipeline that would travel to Asia. Wow that was way off topic.
I work now and really dont have time nor the motivation to read anything fiction at this point. I remeber we used to call the book summaries cliff notes. Funny how thye started calling them sparknotes. Is the cover yellow and black. I remeber I was so lazy in middle and high school I wouldnt even read the cliff notes to a book.
