Want to hear a sad story? Just yesterday this guy I know(in Highschool) was going on a drive in his truck and he took his little brother(in 8th grade) with him in the truck bed and he was backing up or something and he slammed on the brakes and backed up more.
When he slammed on the brakes his little brother went flying out and he backed up over his little brother and killed him. cry
I just heard this tonight and this made me feel sick. I can't even imagine killing my little brother. (
Wow I'd be so depressed... It's kind of suprising for me because in my community nothing major really happens....
They're gonna have a funeral for him tomorrow.

now that is risking your own life and playing with death. you know there is a chance you would die.
some people might think though that they can stay up for 2 days without eating or drinking, and be fine, certainly not die.
its tragic either way, but i think there is a difference between your story and the story in the other thread.

I'm wondering the same thing as halfbreed. Do you think he's gonna have to go to jail for that?

That's exactly why it's illegal for people to ride in the beds of trucks. I can't stand it when people do shit like this. In texas every other vehicle is a truck and people misuse them so much. I see people with ladders sticking 3 feet off the back with nothing red tied to them. Others let their dogs ride in the back of the truck going 65 on the highway. People leave their tailgates down and have a ton of shit in the back not tied down, and it sure as hell flies out at everyone. Just the other day I was hit by a full bag of trash going down the highway, I wonder where it came from.
Anyways, it sucks that the person responsible wasn't killed instead of the innocent kid.

That must have been a pretty gruesome death too. Running him over....
He must have been backing up pretty fast...
And yeah slease I've seen that too. I can't stand it when people on the road don't follow the rules about that kind of stuff. I know some people who now have a 3 legged dog because they left him in the back of the truck bed and the dog fell out and it completely snapped one of his limbs off.

By a shell you mean those things that fully enclose the back and make the truck suburbanish? If that was the case it'd be kinda hard for the people to fall out. And in most states they would be breaking seatbelt laws still (not in TX).
J4320
13-08-2005 11:17:52
Yeah in CO that would still be breaking the seatbelt laws.

I think seatbelt laws are kind of stupid after about 18, but that's besides the point.

Why? Seatbelts save lives.
