I never liked the Cyberpower, too generic.

Generic = easy upgrade.

Cyber power has a better HD and video card. Probably crap for support though.

Wrong, just ask Wood about his experiences, even a triditonal ATX PSU didnt fit.

Depends on which Athlon chip.

Well, that's just the case then... Does it really not have a good enough PSU? I mean that's not often part of a standard upgrade scheme.

Im saying it wouldnt connect to the mobo, he needed an adapter. Its a pretty generic PSU

I've built 2 systems with the x-blade case that the Cyberpower used to come with and haven't had an issue with either ATX power supply fitting the case. As for the power connector, that's motherboard dependant. Most newer power supplies have an option to connect either 20 or 24 pins.

Argh...they're trying to give me a heart attack. I only got that damned GeForce MX 4000. (

The Aspire PSU's ARE crap, just take a look at this

http//www.anandtech.com/showdoc.aspx?i=1841&p=18

That's what you'd get, although they may actually send a 450w, but it's gonna be the same quality. By the way, these Turbolinks are rebranded Deer PSUs if that gives you a better idea about quality.

That said, I'd still take the Cyberpower in a heartbeat everytime. Especially now, due to the better videocard. But the Dell systems are a pain to upgrade. There's just no room in the their OEM cases.

I have three HDs, two DVD-RWs, a Jaz drive, and a memory reader in my Aspire case, and room for a lot more. I also have the 64bit OS option, although it's just not worth my while yet. They moved on to Gigabyte boards, but I got stuck with a MSI, so aside from that I'm pretty happy.

They've sweetened the pot, but I'd still get the Cyberpower if I hadn't already.

I just want the laptop now. ;)

Edit Damn.....PCI-E, it just dawned on me...the mobo is PCI-E now. Damn, Damn, Damn.
