got good taste arcade fire is definatly awesome
take it from the guy with the wilco avatar they are about as good as it gets
Yankee Hotel Foxtrot is their masterpiece, one of the best cds you can ever listen to with headphones on too.
Summerteeth is one of my favorites, lots of beatles and beach boys influence here its also when they started to develop the sound that would come to define wilco on yankee hotel foxtrot
on A Ghost is Born they continue what they started with on yankee but take it a step further and let the guitars take front stage
for a virgin id say go summerteeth, yankee, a ghost is born
then you can go back and check out being there, and mermaid avenue, and am radio.
then you can look into their live scene its one of the best shows out there today

You should def check out Streetlight Manifesto then. A Moment of Silence, Point\Counterpoint, and A Better Place A Better Time are a few of their best songs.

nice, sounds as prolific as The Coral. they have been realeasing an album or 2 every year since 2001/2002.
and they are still great albums, unlike some people who just get shit as they get older.

The Drive-By Truckers are always phenomenal. . .
Hard Techno.
Look for a guy named Ben Sims. He is one of the sickest DJs on the planet.
