why can't we sue freebies site?
why can't we sue freebie sites? like coobro or others???
We pay money for offers, they get money for offers, so it's fraud, no?
i mean they never sent an item to me, even i did more then 30 offers for them

They're usually protected in their TOS.

doesn't it say someshit in their contract where they can refuse your offer at any time, at their discretion? i dunno...

You do offers at your own risk.
[quote6fe7bde2a5="hehehhehe"]They're usually protected in their TOS.[/quote6fe7bde2a5]
so let them pay for our offers, I'm sure coobro got all money they needed, or gratis put my accounts on hold.. they got more then 25 offers from me... 25x50=1250 minimum...
they should refound my money 25x7=175bucks. x NOW I CAN CALL IT A FRAUD!

Technically they should only have taken 7.00 from you. The rest were referrals and those are supposed to be free to you.

okay, if they put my accounts on hold or they want to close a site... they have to pay for offers... it's 30% from what they getting! We have to find someway to make it under the law!
You know within a year how many freebies site will be? and 60% will be scam...

they get alot less than that, you pay 25 bucks, they only get 15-20 per offer... and they send shit out coz many people don't bother completing their sites so they have some money to get you the products.
and they put you on hold for fraud, as in doing your refs fraudulently... which might include using a stole credit card or or whatever...
hehehhehe
25-08-2005 23:31:28
Are you sure they get $50 per offer? I doubt that... It's worth $50 to us, but I doubt they get that much.
I think BB pays like $20 for a subscriber, maybe more if they stay on past a month.
It's not fraud because you signed up, agreeing to their terms.

When OC closed DVRs4Free they refunded 10.00 for everyone who completed an offer. If you do reputable companies (and back then they were) than you'll get good service.
And yes, sites get about 15-25 per offer not 50. I can assure you of this.

yeah coz when you complete 1 site and get... say 8 people... most of them probably won't complete your site so they get the cash to send you the freebie.

uhh i'm gonna go ahead and ask how those numbers work .... it depends on the number of referrals you need ... for a site like flash or freeipods, with 5 referrals, the MAXIMUM ratio of receivers to offer completions is 1/6, and that's only if the pyramid is perfectly constructed ... since there are tons of individual branches and incomplete pyramids, the ratio is actually lower than this, like around 1/8 or so, and that's only 13%

from an ethics point of view, yes they should ... but from a business point of view (the one that matters unfortunately), they have no obligation to, since they've cleared themselves in their tac

Awww man thats a piece of bs. That does suck. OC should seriously be taken out of that "legit" column. Especially after what they did to so many people. (

Bullshit.
Stop talking about shit you don't know about. There are very few offers that will pay out more than 30.00. These few offers are dating services, satellite installation, expensive pill sets like longevity and orexis basicly the offers that nobody does. People aren't stupid, they aren't going to spend 100.00 to buy pills and complete an offer, those offers are just included to make it look like sites have more variety in their offers.
Sorry to be harsh but you don't seem to have any idea what you are talking about.
You agreed to the Terms and Conditions which usually protect the company itself.
In the end, a court case would end up costing you far more than you spent on legal fees pursuing it.

in the TOS of most sites it says that the freebie site has no right to give you anything, and by you "saying you agree to the TOS" (by checking the box before you sign up) means you agree that they have no right to send you anything, no matter how much money you spend or how many refs you have.

Gratis/Freepay has no problem paying out to people who play by the rules.

So you shouldn't do sites known to be shady (see my sig), it's that simple. Gotta watch out for yourself.

Its true that smaller sites get around 20-30 for a typical offer. BUT what you have to understand is that once you start pushing massive volume like OC and Gratis you can get much better rates by simply pitting the publisher companies (ClickBooth, Adteractive, etc) against each other. Eg. "We send 1500 blockbuster customers per month. You're only paying us $25 per person, but over at Adteractive they're paying $30! Beat that price or we move."
This can go on ad infinitum.

That's true, I'm not sure if Pete was talking about the big companies though, I got the impression that he wanted to sue sites like 4nocash / gustonetworks who wouldn't have been making much more if any over the standard rate.
The real question here is what do the ad publishing companies get paid because that would set the cap. Unless the site cuts out the middleman and goes straight to the proverbial blockbuster/aol.
