I recently sold some stuff on eBay and a couple of the buyers paid me with money orders instead of PayPal. I got postal money orders, western union money orders, and a travelers express moneygram. I cashed the postal money orders already, but there isn't a western union around me and I don't know where to cash the moneygrams. Are there any places that cash both of these, at low fees? I know I can just deposit them at the bank but I'd rather have cash if I can.

Hope your Western Union money order isn't a fake. They are a prime target of frauders because they're easy to fake. Also you can cash a WesternUnion money order at a place other than a WesternUnion storefront - they have agents that take a fee.

Thanks doylnea, I found some locations a couple blocks away using your links. Anyone have an idea of what the fees will be like?

Can't you cash them at your bank?

Yeah, I thought banks were able to cash money orders aslong as you got two forms of identification.

If the money order is made out to you which it should be than you can cash it the same as a check, just go to your bank.

Ok, I was just about to go to some corner store I found with doylnea's link, but the bank probably has less fees so I'll go there instead. Thanks )

The bank shouldn't have any fee, atleast if you have an account with them.

Yup, you only pay fees when you buy a money order not when you cash it. It's kind of like paypal, you only pay fees one direction.
