You sure can. Redirect to a PHP file you're hosting, count the hit on that page, and redirect them to your reflink with PHP. D

or he could just view his hits through his domain sellers system.. i'm sure most have it. he's probably just using forwarding, not an actual redirect file

I am not sure but he could be setting up a fake look alike site that steals people passwords and usernames if he is a known scamer. This happens alot with AOL, Paypal, and ebay.

You must've missed out on the [not so] new "cool" thing to do. People are snatching up domains similar to popular FreePay/OC domains and using them to redirect their referral link. FreeiPodNanos.com was a good find...the rest are mediocre investments.
