What new free site would you like to see?

I'm considering soon opening a new network of sites and I was hoping for some ideas from users here on what they'd like to see.
At the moment, I only want to open one site, but in the future, maybe more.
I was considering having just one site giving away many different kinds of things, e.g. consoles, mobiles, laptops, plasma screens etc...
If that is the kind of thing you'd like to see, please give me any ideas you have (it's for you're benefit and mine).
The site would have PayPal rewards, and custom orders.
[i2c2aeb2324]As you may be able to tell from my name, I'm from the UK. Please don't be suspicious of me because I'm a UK resident and opening a US site. All rewards will be shipping from Amazon.com (unless a PayPal reward, or a custom order that is not available there).[/i2c2aeb2324]
Look forward to reading you're thoughts.

[b2c2aeb2324]Update Added a polls, I'll open two sites at beginning, and they'll be giving away the two products that get most votes in poll![/b2c2aeb2324]

That takes a ton of capitol to ship though, becuase someone might complete before the first advert check comes in.
I would suggest starting off with something inexpensive, like keyboard/mouse/small paypal or something of the like. maybe ipod accessories, and after you've got a few bucks to cushin a fall, you can start offering ipods and computers

I like computer upgrades and cell phones. But I guess those aren't as widely popular.

the best way to start would be game consoles, because that aims exactly at what most of the people are 13ish- to mid 20ish....... the majority at least, and that age group goes crazy for game consoles..... esp w/ the NEW consoles coming out..........

A site with gifts under $30 for 1 referral would be cool. It's a much more secure business plan than shipping $200 items for 5 refs or whatever.

Nice idea sleaze! That really is something I’ll seriously consider. Will open two sites, one with gifts that all are for 1 or 2 referrals and another with more big things like game consoles etc…
But does anyone have an ideas on whether I should just have on e site giving away lots of big stuff, for separate sites, like one for game consoles, one for ipods etc..
Apple products - seems like they are the super-hip products to have.
Seems like people want them even though they really don't need them.
Like Mighty mouse, iSight etc that isn't already offered.

The reason no sites offer gifts for 1 referal is because then every person who signed up would finish the site.
No money to make when the completion rate is 100%

Speaking of cell phones, what are some good cell phone sites?
My suggestion is not to have casino offers. Well maybe a few, but many people don't like them. If you do, offer cashback, and a high amount....they'll help get some business if you are having them.

You'd have to mess with the numbers a bit, maybe $25 gifts, but you'd make money off of the original offer completion and the referral, if you did it right and didn't use $15 offers than you could draw enough business to create a marginal profit, it wouldn't be anything huge, but most profit off of these sites aren't.
Sites like fusioncash and casinocashunlimited have the right idea, they guarantee themselves profit by not relying on people not completing.

HDTV for my 360. CRT, LCD,Plasma,DLP, doesn't even matter as long as it's high def and has a fast enough response time to play 360 games on it.

I dont really want a mighty mouse, but i need 2 iSights (one for me and my parents for when i move away) so i would probably go for that. Game consoles WOULD (past tense on purpose) be good a few months back. But since the next gen systems are coming out and developers arent really focusing on those systems as much anymore, it would not be a great idea beacuse people are losing interest in those systems IMO. People only want the newest thing out (i know i do) and the ps2 came out in what, 2000? I think you should offer a site that is small gifts (1-2 refs), one that is normal gifts (3-8 refs), a large site (later when you are successful and needs 9-18 refs), and a site that offers paypal only depending on the refs. i wish you the best of luck because i need a new site to start.

Simply pay half of what the advertiser pays you for the sign up.
You get paid 30 dollars for us signing up for AOL, we get paid 15 to sign up for AOL. etc

then do a trade in the forums for 25 dollar's paypal.
that's even cheaper cause then you don't have to pay someone to do it for you too

ya, the 1-2 refs would benefit the people doing the site,
but it won't benefit you because everyone will be "able" to finish it .... P
and that's bad for site owners...

The reward from two offers would cover the cost of the gift and make a profit for the site owners.

yes that's true,
but site owners actually wants people to do an offer, but then give up or take a looonngg time to complete because of the many refs..
so they won't have to ship the gifts out or won't have to ship out the gift so fast .... then it will keep the site running..
it's like comparing an ipod site(5 refs) and an ipod accessories site (1 ref)..
which one will run out of customers first? roll

Ok so idea for a site offering 1 or 2 referral things is gone..
Now I need to decide 2 things..
1. Whether I give lots of different things on one site, e.g. consoles, plasmas etc.. or if I have seperate sites for each thing.
2. Domains - should I have a seperate domain for each site, or just one domain and a subdomain for each site?
tracemhunter
12-09-2005 06:28:27
either will work fine. I think you should have different sites with different items (one hdtv, one console, etc) that way you can earn more money from the offers and we can earn more gifts.

Thanks... now sure about subdomains or domains.. with subdomains it is easier as I guess, but if I had domains I'd need to think of names, and most are already taken!
Mapik
12-09-2005 09:35:40
Nah, you can think of names. I'd do subdomains off of an original name or something. Something like getfree.com, then getfree.ipods.com, maybe winfree... You can find a few I'm sure.
doylnea
12-09-2005 10:09:29
Part of the appeal of subdomains is that you don't have to pay hosting fees for each of your other sites...you just pay for more bandwidth for your main domain and go from there.
TheUKNetwork
12-09-2005 10:15:57
The host I'm currently with, lets me host unlimited domains )
But I think subdomains are better.
May stick with them.
Ok going to adding a poll to first post so people can vote on what my sites give away.
At the beginning will open two sites, and then will open more if they do well.

Even though there haven't been many votes in poll, I've decided that one site will definitly give away apple products.
The other, consoles or cell phones.
The HDTV idea did seem popular, but referrals would be pretty high and I don't think people would be intrested!
My next problem is getting domains! Most are taken.. I was considering getting "phree" in front of names, but afraid people would think I'm owner of phreeipods which turned out to be a scam!
