I'm waiting for approval on flashipods4free and I'm wondering, does my iPod include a warranty? If it does, wouldn't I need some sort of reciept to show when it was bought?

Standard 90 day warranty applies to all shipped iPods.
If you want a better (and i do suggest this) warranty - go to amazon.com and buy the extended two year warranty from them. I think it's 55.00 or so but definitely worth it since i know my ipod always has a way of testing the law of gravity.
You can also buy the extended warranty from apple.com. If you're looking to save a few bucks, go the amazon route.
http//register.apple.com
Go there and register your iPod with Apple using the serial number on the back.

i'll probably buy applecare before it expires.
