Anyway.... I've been trying to think of some cool or useful things that I should add to my car for entertainment.


I've been thinking about putting my iAudio X5L(which totally pwns the iPod)[=http//www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B000AYWOZU/104-4555495-0109538?v=glance]iAudio X5L(which totally pwns the iPod) in my car and mounting it with a cell phone mount[=http//www.arkon.com/phonemount.php]cell phone mount. I'm using one of those things that you plug into the cigarette lighter and tune it to a radio station and it plays your music. So I don't think I really need a sweet looking CD player in there. I love the iAudio because it plays videos. I'm gonna see what it's like to listen to family guy while I drive.

Or my passenger can watch it while I drive and we can listen to it. The screen's a little small but that's not too much of a problem. I don't know what else to put in my car. I kind of suck at directions so I might get a GPS which would be pretty cool.

By the way my car is a black '97 Honda Accord with a v6 and powerlocks and power windows and leather interior and all. I've had it for a while now and I really like it. It really doesn't seem like it was made back in '97. Back when I first got it, my friends that it was at least a 2000. I'll post pics laterz because no thread is good without pics.

But basically the point of this thread is to find more crap to put in my car for entertainment and such and to see what you guys have.

Do you guys have anything special?

And also... My friend's gonna buy me something for my car that's worth around $30... Know of anything I should ask for that's worth $30?

Yeah, get an in-dash LCD if you have the money to blow. Or rims. Or tints. Or buy me a car.

Who cares about rims and shit. Get a good speaker system in your car, and a direct mount to your iPod, no iTrip. It seems like you would get better quality that way corect me if I am wrong.

yea direct line-in has far better sound than fm. it is like coming from a cd if not better.

I got sick of trying to use an FM adaptor. The radio around Chicago is too jam whored full of stations. I just bought a cassette deck adaptor and I love it.

Ipod Schmipod, make that shit faster. I'm in the process of getting a new set of headers, new exhaust system, new camshaft, and a few other under hood goodies for my car. Do that, tis very fun. If that's not your bag, I don't really know. I have a transmitter for my ipod, and I hate it. I'll probably buy one of the in dash dvd players with lcd that can control an ipod, then mount the adapter in the glove box. That's definitely the expensive way to go, but hey, I'm employed, and I want it.

What's the point of that unless you're going to race? A car that can go 150 MPH and accelerate blah blah blah..all to go the speed limit?

im not too big on cars and fixing them, upgrading them and all that, cause i dont know jack shit about it, i wish i did though, especially the maintaining of keeping it running good, it would save me a lot of money

How would I direct mount my iAudio to my car? What would I need to buy? Because I've noticed with my FM adapter it's kind of fuzzy and it annoys me.

I do race it, autocross, a little drag, and some track racing at 2nd Creek. Either way, it's fun giving your car a little boost from stock, and it'll usually run better anyway. Case in point, the intake I installed a while back gives me better horsepower, torque, and fuel economy, and wasn't that much of an investment. Plus, who goes the speed limit?
