While i was taking a break from work, I saw on the news that
the multi-state played game, Powerball currently has a jackpot of
[bd689dd2b77]300 million dollars[/bd689dd2b77] After completing over 10 casino offers and never losing a dime on a single one, Im considering playing the lottery...
Of course i couldnt help but ask myself, "What would i do if i won?"
The answer I would drop out of college and live in a big mansion with 5 cars....
So do you play any lottery games? And what would you do if you won an insane amount of money like 300 million bucks? D

I was just thinking about this on my drive home tonight when I saw a billboard with the lotto stats.
I would buy some real estate in San Diego, since it's always seventy-four degrees and sunny and probably a cabin somewhere remote. Flashy things like cars or designer clothes don't really impress me. Give me a warm comfortable home and I'd be a happy man.
I'd give to charities that educate people from lower income families.
Charities and NPO's MS, HRC and Amnesty.

First thing I would do would be build the server I have dreamed about, and a OC48 to service it. I would buy my own house in California somewhere, maybe intercity San Fran.
I would pay in 100$ bills and never ask for change back.
Buy my own personal chief to cook meals for me, and someone else to decide what is good and bad for me to eat. A personally trainer too.
I would take personal sky diving lessons, really want to do that D.
Travel around the world, espically europe.
Hire my own personal tutor to teach me foriegn languages, including Latin.
Hire another tutor to teach me about the differant religions and religious backgrounds in the world so I can actually have religious conversations. I learn a lot better through classrooms then just reading about it.

My mother-in-law plays it every wednesday and saturday, but never wins shite.
If i won $300 million I have 2 main ambitions in life.
1. to travel
2. to become a philanthropist.
there are so many good people in the world who are having the worst possible life, and where the bad people are having the best life they could imagine.
Id love to set up some kinda of organisation where i can pay for people who are poor, ill, disabled, etc so that they dont have to, and can be covered for things like
paying for all their medical bills (in this country).
pay for people to go to school who cant afford it.
open a law firm where the lawyers work for me and i pay them, but they do cases for free.
and donate to causes like greenpeace, futureforests.com, renewable energy, salvation army, red cross, british heart foundation etc.
the chances of it happening? slim-to-none, but there nothing wrong with wishful thinking wink

i dont think 300$ million would be enough to do all that... lol
looks like im the only one who would just be a lazy ass with an uber mansion if they had 300 million bucks..

even if it was only enough for 10 people, it would still be worth it D
also, just say it wasnt taxed before i got it, and even if it was possible to put all that $300,000,000 into ING Direct, i would make about $12,000,000 a month from the interest alone.
I'm sure that would pay for a fair bit.

1. Buy a house. Nothing big. I'd like a nice yard, but just a regular house with room to build would be nice. Maybe an indoor basketball court or two...
2. Two new cars for me and the miss. I've always had shitty cars, so it'd be nice to have a new car. Again, nothing crazy, just a nice comfortable car.
3. A couple small things, laptops/TV's in every corner of the house. Something where I could dump into the couch and type the cordinates of where the dump will travel to, eventually making it's way to the toilet. I guess I could just hire Wayne Zilinsky for that.
4. I'd hook my dad up. My dad's always been there for me in life, so I'd probably give him a couple million and buy him seasons tickets to the Eagles, Phillies, and 76ers. I'd buy them for myself as well.
5. Put all my sisters through college. Three of them.
6. Buy my mom a house. She lives in a shitty apartment. My stepfather is a dickhead, so they don't get money, just a house so my sisters have something nice.
7. I've give a lot of it away, to the family, like I said. I'd also give to charities, but only the good ones. I'm not giving to anything that I think wouldn't even get to those that need it.
8. Start my own restaurant. I've been cooking for about 3 years, and I hate the way the place is run. I'd like to have my own place...
9. Invest...

I've always wanted an English manor house with huge grounds... the kind you could go fox hunting in, not that I would.
Of course I would deposit 100 million into studiotraffic so I could be making 100 million a month after 3 months =P

actually you can request a lump sum.....
for 300 million you could probably get a 100$million lumpsum after
taxes

There was a $258 million Mega Millions lottery jackpot winner a few months ago, and they got $117.1 million lump sum after taxes. Not too bad. I played it when it was over 200 million but I only won $3...
The odds for mega millions is ridiculous, I'd almost call it a scam.
Lotteries and the like are taxes for poor people. It's better not to play and save that money.
