I LOVE AMD. I'm a diehard fan.
Actually, my first computer was Intel which ran at a BLAZING 33MHz (Talk about FAST!) woot

Vote for Intel only because I've no real experince with AMD, but that may soon choose. Intel's remained solid in my book, I don't have any real problems and my opinion is obviously biased.
Yeah, back in the day, the only thing around was Intel.
33 MHz and Windows 3.1 (ahhh those were the days wink )
By the time the Pentium came out, I was still using my old 33mhz (ahh I miss that computer cry), then shortly after the AMD K5 was released offering HUGE pipelines for a cheap, affordable price, so I bought one and have been using AMD to this day.. I currently have a AMD Athlon XP 2800+ which runs at 2.09 GHz

/me discovered it and voted for Intel.
Heh, I got a free dual core 3.2Ghz wih H/T and a motherboard (worth about $1k), it'll be blazing fast when I hook it up around Christmas.
Cant talk shit on a company that gives me free shit as well as employs me.
But seriously, you guys just wait, within a year Intel will come out with some bomb ass products that will blow away AMD. Smithfield (Pentium D) was just there to be first, not best.
Peace.

Same with the Itanium, it was just there to be first but it sucks ass and is practically unusable (giving that you can't run ANY 32-bit apps on it, plus the lack of any 64-bit apps makes it obsolete unless its used on High-End servers)
At least the AMD CPU's are backwards compatible with 32-bit apps.. But I still wouldn't buy a 64bit CPU yet as it only uses 44 bits of the 64bit address bus.. Not worth the money and again.. theres barely any apps (if any at all) that take advantage of the "64-bit" (emphasis on the quotation marks) address bus, except for the OS (Linux and Windows XP 64)
Intel just wants to show off.. AMD wants to beat Intel to it by making truly superior products that give any geek the best wet dream of his life.
YOU wait and see.. AMD will steal Intel's crown and kick them off their thrown twisted

I do not even watch or follow intel CPUs they have always been way more in price and not up there in performance. AMD is my type of company, and there community is very nice. Plus AMD is not Wintel, and wintel for the lose.

amd definatly....intels have a longer execution pipe in the p4s...their p3s would be bad ass if they just made it fast cuz the execution pipe is smaller.
i experienced some lag with p4s before and overheating also random restarts. with amd, everything was solved
