I hate going to a place that only sells pepsi products... why would someone want to drink something that tastes like they put pennies in a diet coke?
If you drink pepsi I'm not saying you're weird or anything, just wondering what about the taste you like?

I drink Fresca O Except my school has pepsi products, so it's just diet sierra mist. I don't like colas as much, but get diet coke at restaurants.

They taste completely different though, was that study done with people who have never had either soft drink before? I could tell coke from pepsi when I was 5.

I've been addicted to that new twister soda. I drink every soda. I have yet to try one that I didn't like, but my favorites are Mt. Dew and Barqs root beer.
On topic, I prefer pepsi over coke.

I can't drink soda, or even any drink excluding alcohol or water, anymore. Drinks with sugar in them, even flavored water, feels weird on my teeth. I swear I can literally feel them dissolving.

You might think so...but like n3il89, I've discussed this in class (Consumer Behavior) too, and the fact is...4 of 5 people can't tell the difference in a blind taste test. I don't recall which was preferred (I think Pepsi)...but I know that 4 of 5 [randomly selected] people can't tell the difference.
[quote90bfc9eab5][b90bfc9eab5]Coke vs. Pepsi[/b90bfc9eab5]
According to the Independent, researchers have proven that the difference between Coke and Pepsi really is all in your head. Apparently the popularity of Coke's brand image causes people to think Coca-Cola itself tastes better, even though it really doesn't taste very different from Pepsi. As the article says "[i90bfc9eab5]When asked to taste blind, they showed no preference. However, when the participants were shown company logos before they drank, the Coke label, the more famous of the two, had a dramatic impact three-quarters of the tasters declared they preferred Coke.[/i90bfc9eab5]" I've long suspected this. Personally I can't taste any difference between Coke and Pepsi, but I have a friend who swears passionately that there's a huge difference. Now I can show him this research to prove that he's simply been brainwashed by advertising. Oh, and the Pepsi Taste Test also turns out to be nothing but hot air "[i90bfc9eab5]The findings suggest there is no scientific basis for claims made during the Pepsi ad campaign in which testers purportedly chose Pepsi over Coke when they were not told what they were drinking.[/i90bfc9eab5]" [/quote90bfc9eab5]

I haven't had soda in 4 or 5 years. I have no idea what a lot of the new stuff tastes like. I think my last drink was Surge. That stuff was good.

I prefer Pepsi over Coke. Coke is biting and just a bit grating, while Pepsi is smooth and slightly sweeter. It's just personal preference.

I concur, pepsi has a pretty decent, sweet taste. Coke tastes like someone put arsenic in your drink or something, it's too bitter, and has a bad aftertaste. I'm very happy with fountain coke, but cans or bottles I hate.

Sprite OWNS every type of soda ever! D (except maybe surge..)
I could DEFINETLY tell the difference between coke and pepsi wheather i
could see the logos or not. Theres something about pepsi's taste thats different, although i cant quite put my finger on it.... Coke is definetly better than pepsi D

Do a blind taste test like FON mentioned and you probably won't. I did one with my girlfriend a few months ago and neither of us noticed a difference.

I [i8677b73ab9]can[/i8677b73ab9] taste the difference, an can't remember a time I haven't been able to, short of occassions I've had badly mixed fountain varieties.
The definitive way to tell the difference, of course, is to sample them at room temperature, and preferrably flat. The differences are far more obvious then. )

However, when it comes to standard major brand colas, Pepsi is what I prefer.
