	I saw a map in my US History before 1877 class today that listed Kazakhastan as a independent state, and not in the USSR.  It listed Russia as the Russian Federation.  That must be a pre-USSR or beginning-USSR map because the USSR later controllred Kazakhastan as a satallite, and is now in the Commonwealth of Independant States.  It looked really old too.

	IDK it is kinda interesting.  Have you ever seen a map that old?  I have not, although sometimes in school you see ones with USSR on them and I always get a laugh.  Thought you guys may too.

	Look at a map from 20 years ago and you'll see a lot of changes too.  2 Germanys, USSR, Yugoslavia...
