Which is why Sony is going to get DESTROYED.

One of the largest reasons PS2 got off to a much stronger start than XBox was its release date for the holiday season. XBox continually gained ground though.

With the relative release dates being reversed, PS3 stands no chance imo.

360.. PS3 has half the features that xbox360 promises to have, but when available, I will be doing the PS3 sites and maybe even the nintendo revolution one...... that way I'll have all three sites, I'm late, but I started a 360 site recently..

no, 360 is not even close to being better, come on now dude ps3 is going to have cell processor,blue ray discs, 100% hdtv compatiblity and not to say graphics card kicks ass, the rsx graphic card specially made for the ps3 by nvida and the xbox is going to have some crappy old ATI graphics card and plus ps3 will have a bunch more games

PS3 is going to kick Xbox 360's ass hahahah

I actually think the 360 has a pretty good shot at stealing market share from Sony. They learned a lot from the original Xbox how important aesthetics are to the Japanese; how critical strong developer kits are to publisher support; and how the timing of a launch can help or hinder a system's chances of success.

yah thats true but in Japan the Ps3 is the system of choice i have seen many polls and gaming sites and stuff and the ps3 is the top of the list japan and america pretty much worldwide but most people will probaly end up gettin both in the end anyway

It may be the system of choice now, but neither system has been released. Microsoft is going all out in Japn (see the lounge they're opening at http//www.joystiq.com/entry/1234000497066050/[]http//www.joystiq.com/entry/1234000497066050/), and they've got a 4-6 month headstart on the market. You're right, most people will end up buying both, but that's a big win for Microsoft this time around. Last time, most people bought a PS2 alone...

Nintendo Revolution. It's lame that people that make these threads don't even put it on the list. With the new controller set up, the entire nintendo library and Nintendo game production behind it it's going to be the most fun console of the three. Everything you can get on the PS3 and XBox360 can be found on PC. Nintendo's branded games are really about the only fun console games that don't play better on PC.

There is no use even talking about this because neither has come out yet. The only way to tell is to play both and then decide. Besides, Nintendo is comming out with that 3D screen thing so that will be the coolest thing next year anyway. End of topic. Thread locked. Thank you. Come again.

Nintendo Revolution. Its going to be totally backwards compatable and I think that nintendo has a GREAT game selection. I've been loyal to them since the NES, i wont stop now.

thats an interresting way to think of it..... I have to say though... modding an xbox as compared to a ps2....... HUGE difference.. hell, I modded mine with a single screw.... I wouldve destroyed a ps2 if I tried soldering all 30-something points...
