Okay so they have this new deal out, $22 a month for 3Mbps ...I get like $26 for 1.5 Mbps but it says for new customers only. So even though I've been a customer for along time I can't get the same deal as some new person?

How stupid is that...I already think their DSL is slow as fuck but mom pays for it so I can't really complain.

Yeah, they make you sign up for 1 year.

i recently got $14.99/month rate when my contract ended. When does yours end?

I'm not sure I'll have to find out. I feel like we should be able to get the same deals as newbies

you just have to argue with them and they will change your plan. that's what i did. I was able to switch from my $26.99 plan to $14.99 by saying "i got a call from you about changing my plan, so now i would like to confirm that i'd like to change"

simple as that, the guy at first offered "19.99 plan", but i rejected, of course.

Actually wanted that faster DSL plan, but my area is too far he says.... (

Well we currently have the $26.95 for the Express (the cheap dsl 1.5mbps).

Before the 14.95 (for Express) and 24.95 (for Pro) offer ended (on October 31st), we called and told them that we'd like to have the 24.95 PRO dsl service, since it would be double the speed + cheaper of what we have now.

They said yes, and said it will take about a week to get the upgrade. D

I'm thinking how they are making out on this, is similiar to these free sites. When you call in and ask for that limited time "cheaper rate", the representative is signing you up again for another year contract, therefore he's getting a kickback (like the free sites get, in which they use to send out your gifts).

...it makes sense lol
