DENVER POT LEGALIZATION = BS

Yes, the city of Denver did vote to allow 1 oz. of marijuana without prosecution, but pot is banned by state and federal laws, overriding this one. So pot is still completely illegal.

Yeah that is dumb. But it's more of a mindset for people who want it legal. It's a small step for them.

So? Gay marrige was legalized (for a short period of time) in San Francisco but it was still illegal in federal courts, fags still hitched up. I say get high.

lol....its a start...i think it is better to legalize it and sell it in stores(i dont smoke weed either..) but it jus controles how strong it is and what is in it....

Weed is super safe to buy right now, the only problem you may have is if dro makers do not leak the nitrate out of the plant for 1 week, and I am under the influence that most do. It is not like ectasy where it can be based with shit.

If it was made avaliable it would probaly be stronger, and a lot nicer of a buzz though. You wouldnt have to buy shwag, because dro would be as cheap. I would still grow my own though, just beause it seems like a interesting hobby to me.[/quote6bd9d73fd1]

yea high school is when it starts. i got high my first time with my older brother (now 10 months clean on his ice addiction) on the way to school freshman year. i was into that shit till about summer soph/junior year and then i "grew up". i used to be able to drink half a bottle (750ml) of 151 in a night but i havent drank in about 4 months so i dont think i could do it anymore.

i really dont see the harm in legalizing marijuana. i mean, sure it would be crazy for the first few months but it would calm down shortly after. it is impossible to overdose on it unlike alcohol. it would be weird as hell i think of weed next to the spinach in the produce section. it is just a matter of time.

yea cigarettes are gross. i can do a cigar if i am just outside on the powerbook after doing a lot of homework or something (which i should be doing now). ex can be easy to find here depending on who you know. i used to take xanax occasionally but i never did coke or anything crazy like that. i like to have some perspective of what im doing.

i never smoked cigarettes...but did smoke primtimes(delicious) and black and milds(i would pack those w/ herb back in high school) i personally liked herb ALOT. But i wish i never smoked cuz i dont anymore but i occasionally have urges not like addicted but like having a taste for it like having a taste for ice cream or something it happens from time to time i guess it helps that im taking a break from classes otherwise i might be more provoked to toke.

Weed is still illegal in amsterdam, its just tollerated. The law still says you can go to jail if you have it, just like how the denver law is. Unfortunatly the federal laws about marijuana will never change in our lifetime, but this is a huge step. So in denver, you can get a cop that just gives you a ticket, or you can get a cop that takes you to jail.

You sir are not too smart. The city of Denver did legalize it, there have been articles all of the web about it. However, the state and federal law are more powerful than the city laws. So you will get "prosecuted" b/c of it, even by the Denver police.

actually in colorado weed is decriminilized so state law says that for under 3 ounces you get a $100 fine and nothing goes on your record period so no you won't go to jail no matter what unless you have mad quantity/are selling/growing

Well this is a big step to legalizing it at least, and at least somone stepped up.

For me, I only blaze on occasion (once every 2 weeks) I'm trying to chill out for hockey, this conditioning is killing me, considering i came from a summer of being blazed everyday.

The subject says that the legalization of pot in Denver is BS, when infact it is not. They passed it a law saying it is. However, it is dumb of them to pass it when it does no good since the feds and state police will just overrules the city laws.

I see where you're coming from. It all depends on what the definition of BS is. BS meaning untrue, I'm right. BS meaning a joke, he's right. Just a vague word for describing this.

Heh what sucks is it even if you use medical marijuana, and have a doctor who perscribes it to you. If the feds feel like doing marijuana busts in the area you go to jail for possession.
