Alright, so Bush barely won this election. Yet I've been asking around and I still haven't gotten an answer. Can someone name the good things that Bush has done in office? In return, I'll then give you a huge list of bad things he's done in office. I"m just wondering what good he has done.

Owned by what 1% wow. also factoring that people don't like change and are living in fear + during a war only 1 president has ever not ben reelected... but other than that ya. Still didn't answer the Question.
I think some good things he did were nothing; we all know what would happen if he did cry

colors on the map dont mean jack. it goes by electoral votes, which is determined by population..

bush can have north dakota, south dakota, and all those useless states filled with pro-gun hunters.

I love how people get off by seeing all the red on the map. THE MAP MEANS NOTHING(except for the tshirt hell one mrgreen ). Granted, he won- but how many times do people have to say it was the closest race since what was it... JFK/Nixon? Whip out all the pretty red maps you want, it's the more populated areas that matter. Bush racked up on a lot of the states that barely had any electoral votes. The many little ones plus a few of the big ones gave him the win. And even then the races were close- whether it ended up being a Bush win or not. Take that "Bush Country 2004" map for example. Yes it shows all the red, but does it show how close many of those counties were close to being blue? Of course not. Bush won by 3.5 million votes which is less than half the population of my city.. and that, my friends, proves that he barely won.

well first of all if you if you didnt see him as a career politician working on his image to get elected, then you're just a moron.

second, saying kerry wants to increase gun control laws and bush wants to take them away isnt only inaccurate, it's just a stupid generalization. Keep in mind the renewal bill for assault weapons was never even voted on to have it sent up to be signed. oh, but i'm sure kerry made it clear that it was bush's fault seeing as how he controls the house of reps, but he doesnt.
maybe now that the election is over kerry will start showing up to do his job in the senate.

Don't even get me started...

Here's a pretty big thing that everyone seemed to have looked over on

THE IRAQI elections? Anyone? Hear about it? I mean it is the first time Iraq has ever had a democratic government, and I mean, there were barely ANY attacks on the voting day.

So setting up a democrazy in Iraq is considered nothing?

And don't even think about saying I'm uneducated. I live in NJ, I am a republican and I'm only 16 but I can at least back up my statements instead of posting a link to some random anti-bush crap.

The elections had flaws, but were overall a good thing.

However.

To say that the entire thing is justified because of them is, well, a bad precedent. The ends do NOT justify the means, and the means in the entire Iraq situation were pretty damned poor. Even still, our troops and such aren't getting NEAR the support they need, for instance. Bush and crew were so worried about looking bad if they sent too much that they hide their head in the sand about raelity and sent far too little over there. And on top of that, the reasons given kept changing based on what he felt the public wanted to hear. Because, y'know, Iraq had so many WMDs, and gave so much money to Al Qeada.... Wait, no he didn't.

Sorry, while the end result may end up being an improvement, the road we took to get there was extremely poor. And I don't feel that spreading democracy to one country was, overall, worth the negative impact it had on our international relations with virtually every country on the planet.

Lets not get into the general degrading of our civil rights on the homefront, or any of the other extremely questionable things Bush has done.

And, to FreeOffers, it is because I love my country that I HAVE to question things, HAVE to look into why things really happen. Just because it is America doing it does not make it right. I can love my country and still dissaprove of what we are doing, the same as I can support the US military troops even if I hate what we are making them do.

Blind faith in leadership is not patriotism, nor is questioning leadership subversive or unpatriotic.
