I will preorder so I can resell, but other then that fuck PS3. Barely anyone has 1080p TVs, and noone can use the 2 tv support. Plus would you really want to place that much bog on a system that is less powerful then the 360? And blu-ray is Sony's proprietary POS that can not even reach 50gigs. They say they can IN THE FUTURE but have not yet. Proprietary shit blows the donkey dick.

i will get one but it will jsut be for resell. pc games and hardware will always own consoles. thats just the way it is. if i want to play a game in high def i will cart my pc to my room. but i will just buy a blu-ray player and burner when those come out in the spring

i'm sooooooooo looking forward to the ps3. it's going to own xbox360 soooo bad. guaranteed. that'll be the first console i keep, since the original nintendo.

I will definetly be getting 2 PS3's cheer
the PS3 doesnt need the holiday season to sellout like crazy because Sony is on top of the gaming industry.... I just hope sony learns from M$ and takes steps to make sure the first PS3 shipments are working perfectly... D

I've never had an xbox, that trend will continue. Really the only thing Xbox is good for is Halo and if that was on PS then xbox would be out of business. Have all of the Playstations.

yeah, i've never had an xbox either, and frankly... i didn't like halo. i always thought playstation was a much more solid platform.

gta as a launch game? that would be a pretty bold move.....
id prefer the heavy hitter (gta, final fantasy, etc) be released when
developers gain mastery of the PS3 hardware.

square and rockstar games neither have contracts with sony anymore, so frankly it woldnt make too much sense to have those as strict launches to compete with the 360. Most new Square and Rockstar games will be multi-platform with the exception of maybe KH2 and the like. I'm getting a PS3, for free, damnit!! Thats the way I roll.. I have no job or else I would buy one, but really I still prefer the 360, its better... thats all there is to it, most people who support the PS3 as being better than the 360 have been loyal to sony forever.... I'm mostly unbiased.

The PS3 has less graphical power then the Xbox 360 and is getting released a year(?) later then the x360. That gives time for the x360 get even better graphics. Not many screens have 1080p, and by setting that as a req for games it would actually be a bad thing. That means all games have to support that high of a resolution so the textures and shit will have to be downscaled. 720p everyone can use if they have a HDTV, which is still a small minority. A minority of that small minority have a newer TV that can play 1080p. So why limit your games like that?

Plus people still buy high end EDTVs!!! Do not ask me why, but it happens.

but at the same time, junior does have a point. i might rather see gta after a year or so, when game designers really get a good feel for the ps3.
