AIM, Gaim, or Trillian???

or, for that matter, any other alternative AIM client.

Which do you like better and why? I'm going to ditch AIM because of all the ads. Does direct connect and file transfer work well on the other clients?

I use iChat but that's on my Powerbook. I just use AIM for when I am on my Windows desktop. I hardly get on though so it doesn't really bother me.

Yeah I know what you mean. P.S. I am glad Georgia handles LSU because they deserved it but sorry to say, you shouldn't be going to a BCS bowl representing as the SEC champs. We (Auburn) beat you and have only one loss in the conference compared to y'all who have two. It's a sad world but then again, the BCS has always sucked.

You knew the rules at the beginning of the season. We HANDLED LSU (a team that beat you) and beat GATech (a team that, shamefully, beat you as well). You beat us on a freak play at the end of the game - it was an even game and Auburn won. Next time try making a field goal in a game that matters (against LSU) and we can settle it on the field in Atlanta. Otherwise all that matters is UGA 2005 SEC CHAMPS!!!

Yes, you are right you beat LSU. But while we are mentioning freak plays, let us not forget the freak game where our kicker missed 5 field goals to lose to LSU. A freak loss that we would have won had it not been for that freak occasion. Georgia Tech is a good team and that was our first game with a brand new team practically. We would demolish them if we played them again but I don't feel bad about losing to them because they beat Miami, who beat murdered Virginia Tech, I am sure you have heard of them before. Also, you beat them by 1 touchdown, it was hardly something to brag about. I'm just saying, if I were you, I wouldn't proclaim Georgia as a team that really deserves to be called the SEC champs considering Auburn has only one loss in the SEC and Georgia has how many? 2! That isn't an SEC champ if you ask me, it's the BCS screwing over a team that really deserves it. It's okay though, we beat the supposed "SEC champs" in the season WITH Shockley, and we have a better record in the SEC. Next year, we will be adjusted to having a brand new team so you better look out! WAR EAGLE BABAY!

Trillian. I've never used gaim so I can't say anything for or against it. I'm just fine with what I have.

Thats exactly how i feel about Gaim. lol Never used Trillian, and don't see a reason to change.

just tried trillian, wasnt too happy with it and tried Gaim and love it. pretty cool

this really has nothing to do with the bcs.

i use aim with deadaim on it. takes care of everything i want gets rid of ads, and has logs and tabs. yep thats all i want ) and i think the regular aim interface looks good so its perfect for me.

i got gaim for my laptop originally to try it...hated it. very ugly. immediately uninstalled it. never tried trillian

Good, but bad for file transfers. I usually switch to iChat for that.

yeah i used adium on my mac for a while, but decided to just use ichat. thanks for mentioning that because i had forgotten the name of that program.
