High TR

Has anyone noticed that High TR people are the most pain in the ass traders around? Getting anything done in a timely manner is beyond them. /rant off.

I hate to generalize, but I suspect that if you asked these high TR traders whether they were trading on behalf of others, all (or nearly all) would tell you that they are not completing offers themselves. In these cases, it's the arrangement that leads to problems, not a person's TR. You're just as likely to have problems with someone with a TR of 6 trading on behalf of a friend as you are with someone whose TR is 106.

I think another issue is that since High TR people don't need to go first on any trade, they set em up with the mindset that they don't need to worry about it. When the time DOES come to worry about it, they've prolly forgot about it or can't get to it at that time

I've honestly noticed that too, but it's not always the case. I think the ebay feedback system will begin to help with that a lot.

And you probably get trades completed in a timely manner. I'm not saying that everyone with a high TR trades on behalf of others, but those that do tend to take forever. No matter how good your intentions, you just can't coerce a friend to handle a trade as responsibly and conscientiously as you would yourself.

Yeah I'm not going to name names but one very high TR trader took over a month to green me after i went green on his site. That's kind of why i tend to shy away from people who have a higher tr then me i can't get screwed over and i don't have to wait a month to get my green.

I disagree, I'm usually waiting on other people longer than they're waiting on me. And I never get friends to do offers, but I might do some at my dad's when he moves into his house in a couple months. Its kind of unfair to lump all "High TR people" into one group.

I don't initiate a trade with someone if I can't signup and do an offer for them right there and then, whether they have lower TR or higher TR.
I've never had a bad trade yet.

I think it's mainly fgr_admin and tmbrwolf providing us with the outside trades. Also I don't see why people complain about these users. They find plenty of refs for hard to finish sites like freeipods.com. Charging less than they could, therefore bringing down the price for the rest of us.
If I have a friend that wants to sign up I usually just offer it up for free, but I always make sure and mention who is doing the offer

You signed up
You did tickle with your moms cc and paid her $25 for a $13 offer
You expect me to be liable for that
I admit, i didnt have time to do the offer, and then OC removes the offer and have true OOD. The delay was a week, which you also took around a week to credit (Not your fault, but still you didnt green)
I already offered him $25 to call it even (Dvdrecorders4free) but he keeps saying he wouldnt be making money, except its not my fault he paid him mom $25 for a $13 offer. Keep arguing and the offer will indeed get lower and lower. I've had many sucessful trades, and our trade happen to be one of the bad ones

I'm content with my TR. I don't trade very often, maybe twice or thrice a week, but I've finally reached a level where those under me have to go first, and those above are almost definitely scamless.
With the exception of one. That TSJ is always pulling me through hoops... wink

i have noticed some delays with higher tr people, and i have set some real life people up with trades and it has slowed my end down as well.
BUT i still like the odds better with these trades, because i simply don't trust new users unless they agree to make it through approval first, and most won't agree to that )
so i'd rather wait then get scammed, does suck to have guys set something up gung ho and not even get you a signup a week later, which is kind of crappy. but things do happen.

At least I'm not the only one having trouble with high TR members.
I've been starting to wonder if people with high TR's get this attitude like they're just sooo awesome and since they have other people completing stuff for them fast, they don't have to worry about it and can be completely irresponsible and inconsiderate. I guess by my experience and that of the others in this thread, i am closer to my answer.

There are some traders with high tr that suck at trading and only have a high tr because they've been here for awhile. They give the rest a bad name.

I have only had one trade that I felt didn't go as well as I wanted and it is still going. It is my fault, and is on EarnFreeGamingSystems, but the admin there just won't credit me for the two offers I have done and sent in all of the confirmation. Did a third offer today, but has taken over a month. I definitely won't try to finish that site, heh.
