How long do you usually give for payment on eBay?

I recently sold an apple ipod video (black 30gb) from Trainn. It ended last night to be exact. Anyway, the person who won has 0 feedback, and I've sent him an invoice and various other messages. Is it too early to worry? I just wanted to make sure he would get it before Christmas, but with no payment I can't do that. When should I re-list if I want to get paid before the holidays?

I would let it slide for one more day. I hate that.

I usually give 4-6 days, but they end up paying within or before one day.

it depends on when they bid. if they bid within the last hour of the auction, i give them 1 day, then do a second chance bidder. if they bid near the begining i give 2 days

I allow 7 days in my terms and conditions and start a NPB dispute at the end of the 7th day.

you should put in your auction that they have at most 3 days to pay, and when you send an invoice, ask that they respond immediately to let you know that they received it, and that they tell you how they're planning to pay. I give everyone 72 hours. Most responsible bidders pay me within 24 though.

Or you could do what I do, and threaten to delete bids from people with zero feedback unless they contact you before bidding.

2 days and i tell people not to bid unless they have atleast 10 feedback.

i still get idiots that ask me during the auction and bid towards the end. so i sit there and reject their bids left and right and tell them to fuck off )

I always pay like 10 minutes after the auction ends...

i state in my auction when it needs to be paid by, around this time of year I give them 24 Hours to pay, after that its no good to me, If I were u, i'd re-list it w/o a buy it now, and if the guy pays you can always retract the auction and cancel bids (place in your auction that you reserve the right to end the auction early and cancel bids) and if he doesn't pay its on its way to being sold again...
