I need to convert about half of my itunes music into mp3 format. Half of my songs already are mp3 and the other half are m4a or whatever. Is there any program that will re encode them and delete the originals for me?

I'm pretty sure iTunes can do that. Or maybe its just when you import songs into iTunes. I'll check it out.

Yeah, I think you can tweak iTunes settings to do that.
