Lets discuss A4F/other forums in a civilized manner

The other thread got locked because people decided to make stupid posts about race rather than discuss A4F. So I was hoping TSJ will allow us to try again without any of that race stuff. Just discuss A4F/other freebie forums.
From twhite's post about A4Scam re-posting the removed threads that were critical of site owners. There are some things that cannot be undone. Permanent damage to the characthers of you and your staff was made when a fellow member of FIPG (Sonofshoe) repetadly had his complaint post about gaitia trying to scam him removed. Simply putting back the complaint threads doesn't wipe your hands clean..... (IMO)
this is totally unforgiveable.

I will say 2 finial things to sum up my points

I there are certain actions that theres no turning back from. This is why serious thought has to be giving before making certain decisions...

From what ive observed from A4F, the bottom line is you and your staff don't give a rats ass about protecting your members. Their safety is NOT your number 1 priority (EX goofy not being banned till TSJ pushed for it)
this is why i will never do a trade on your forum.

On a psositve note i like the news updates on your front page. Very informative....

i got suspended for spamming, and yet some mods make dumbass posts containing one letter.......and bitch at me for spamming.

they warned me for "Posting worthless and VERY grammatically" yet one somebody post "k" its perfectly alright

then they did it again "Being an idiot............he knows that its for...check the lounge." wtf......does that even make sense?

and then they warn me a third time for pm spamming which i admit to before suspending me for a month i think


and yes they always will side the owners, if they see a topic going agaisnt a forum owner they will lock it....

Also, they continually back up site owners, like inferno (freenotebookgear, freegaminggear), who took the money and ran. Also, Gatita it seems (but may not have) has also taken the money.

Twhite--what pattern of idiotic posts? If saying "k" isn't idiotic, I don't know what is.

You are mad because you got banned (I don't know why and I don't know if it was the right decision) BUT you should not talk about them like that just becuase you got banned (do you think that you can do a better job?)

Also, they don't support scammers, don't be stupid (sorry if it sounds bad, nothing agains't you, but sounds better to me). How are they going to support scammers? that fag and many other ran away with the money but is not their fault, A4F is trying to make them (the owners) feel good with everybody on the forum, this way they will go to the forums and answer stuff, provide members with information and news (which is cool)

They may not be the best (I had my problems with them too) but they do a good job.

Part 1 This was already dealt with internally.
Part 2 Inferno didn't take the money and run, he was robbed - once again, you are misinformed and throwing around accusations that are simply not true.

Junior It was brought to our attention and immediately rectified. Without looking through the logs, i'm not sure who deleted the posts, and the consensus of the moderators were that they most certainly should not have been deleted. I personally believe that it is extremely important for users to speak their mind and not have their posts edited. The threads were removed because they ended up turning into a flame against site owners, and the same subject was being re-hashed over and over again. The site has since been downgraded, same as the procedure would be for any other site. It's not just posts that were critical of site owners - after all, if you look at almost any forum at A4F you will find critical posts of site owners that have not been removed. One of the moderators interpreted the "no flaming/bashing" rule to mean that some of the posts in these threads could easily be considered bashing, and that's why the threads were locked and removed. I have since clarified the rules to say that complaint threads are fine - just leave it against the site. Users become so heated that they start throwing accusations and flame site owners at A4F. Ultimately, A4F is designed with our members in mind, and we are continually striving to make sure that we have representation from the major sites around the web in the freebie community.

As I said, the issue has been resolved. Let me assure you that our sole purpose is not to serve site owners. That being said, when users sling slanderous or just plain false accusations against site owners, that is typically when moderation kicks in. A4F (as i'm sure you know) abides and sets a different set of rules then FIPG does. We set rules that we believe will create a friendly environment for everyone to come together (soon internationally) and get help on their favorite freebie sites, especially when it comes to answering general questions.

On another note on bannings. When a user has scammed multiple people on another trading site, and we are informed of it, that user will be banned. However, what you may not appreciate is that there is a tremendous amount of work that goes into day to day operations of A4F. It's quite possible that people were just unaware of goofy until tsj mentioned it to one of our staff members.

answer me this twhite when a site in its tos says Aol users can sign up as long as they sign up using ie gets dqed and then creates a thread about it why is that thread locked? in my pov that thread since the site owner is misinformed that even if you use ie you will still have same ip as AOL

Plain and simple, we don't allow personal account questions on the forums of A4F. Most likely your thread was phrased/pointed in a way referring to only your account, and this is why support tickets were invented.

More general issues are what site owners are there to answer. This was put in place to eliminate the endless "i'm on hold, or I didn't receive credit" threads.

From what I know (I've talked to inferno before), his home was robbed while he was in the UK. He had the money at home (don't ask me why), and was forced to only send compensations. Do I honestly think he scammed people? No. But regardless, the site was moved to closed/scams, same as all the other ones that closed. No one really supported/didn't support him from a4f.

I appreciate A4F when I work on popular sites, such as ps3.freepay, because they have newbies that don't demand $25+. But with that comes many more scammers that are more difficult to spot, so unless I'm have a real hard time getting referrals here, I tend to stay away from them.

Same. There is definitely too much scamming and the feedback process can be a pain, heh. Never get feedback for trades I should. But oh well, I still post there and occasionally trade.

i would have never been able to get all the stuff i have without a4free, i have traded there more than here and see more potential trades over there still.


i don't know what goes on behind the scenes with them but i swear they have been payed off by owners in the past.

i had a bad trade with the cool4free owner before his sites even came up and they ended up telling me after review they would NOT pull support of his network, even though i was told they treat owners just like members and wouldn't allow it.

i never even got a signup out of that guy for i think dvrs4free in the end, he traded it away to somebody else and would never answer my pm's, yet continue to post and trade (

if thats not bullshit i dont know what is, thats why i stopped donating over there as well.
