I wonder what it could be. According to their site they have a topic titled "Mini Rumor Control" with the following listed.....

What's possibly coming out this Spring, from our favorite gadget supplier? Turn these words into a product and maybe you'll have the answer...

iPod
Dock
Movies
TV
On demand
Mini

Excited? We are!

Why it be more refs? The Yonah laptops are supposed to put cheaper, thats the point of the switch I thought ?

chazmann

Yep. Faster and cheaper. That was the whole point of switching to intel.

It's about damn time too.

The PPC -> Intel switch was driven by Motorola and IBM wanting to concentrate on their core business (tiny processors and big processors). The G5 was stagnant. Too hot to put in a laptop, etc.

There were rumors before the show that there would be a new mac mini released that had some of those capabilities (ipod dockable & tivo functionality). Who knows if they're still coming. I've got 9/10 greens for freeminimacs so I'm hoping they come up with something soon.

it's not called yonah.. it's 'core duo'

yonah was the codename... just like centrino's codename was sonoma

being a mac fan...i'm very very excited for the new intel switch. i'm gonna buy a top-of-the-line powermac when it comes out...except it won't be called powermac.

it wouldnt suprise me if the mini is next. the minis are frequently being used as htpc's now. osx 10.4.4 came out yesterday and i am updating now. there is supposed to be some new functionality in the updates like being able to press some button and you can see all the windows and pick which one instead of them all being behind each other. ill figure it out in a bit.

Google for Expose.

It came out in 10.3, so you're a bit behind the curve )

I have Desktop mapped to my scroll wheel so If I'm looking for that all important document all I have to do is press my scroll wheel and Desktop. Right click does show all windows. It's one of my biggest pet peeves going back to windows.
