Car speaker recommendations

Its pretty nice along with xm adapter and all.

I was looking for speakers now for my 99 grandam(4x6 and 6x9)

Im now looking for speaker upgrades not overhaul. I do want something that i can add an amp to later maybe but will sound good with this HU

I got the HU from a friend used for 1 mnth + xm adapter and xm direct for $160


I can get the speakers new for $150 new shipped on ebay for both sets

do not get pioneer, fosgate, or alpine speakers. they are all shit. the infinity kappas are ok, don't know about reference though. i have kenwood's in the front and back of my suv and i am satisfied with those. wish i still had sirius though (

Ohh i know.

Alpine and Pioneer are like Sony in a way

Sony - AWESOME TV's --> SHITTY AUDIO EQUIP
Alpine - AWESOME HU's --> SHITTY SPEAKERS

and ROCKFORD FOSGATE JUST SUCKS A DICK for everything

I have Eclipse speakers and they sound really nice.

I've heard round speakers are better to have than oblong speakers, maybe think about getting an adapter that'll let you stick 5.25 rounds in your 6x9 spots. Also, if you're going into your door panel, think about using dynamat or some cheap equivalent to keep outside noise down and try and reduce all rattle, because nothing is worse than having something vibrate when your speakers hit a certain bass pitch.

I've had a pair of pioneer 2ways that I've moved from car to car for the last 6 years, still work great.
