HD partition question

on my Acer, i had 2 drives

acer and acerdata, both 17gb. acerdata is empty.

how can i put that open 17gb into acer?

Does it come partitioned? You can buy Norton Partition Magic on ebay for like $20 \

There's a much cheaper solution. Go to the control panel (classic view), then go to Admin Tools, then Computer Management. Click disk management and it should be self explanatory from there. Let me know if you need additional help, or if this even works. ha.

But thats if you want that unpartitoned space made into a seperate drive. Usually when there is that space on a HD from a company it contains the files to do a reinstall...

actually, oddly enough, both of hte partitions were the exact same size, and the 2nd one was empty. 17gigs is too much for a reinstall /

I'd use Partition Magic and you can make that 17GB part of your exsisting partition...

Just use the boot floppy for Partition Magic.. its much easier..
