I've been having a big problem with this virus
W32.HLLP.Sality
I can't remove it, norton just keeps saying "access to file denied"
I then took the hard drive out and brought it to ano ther computer and ran a scan on the harddrive using that computer. Says virus is detected and removed it. When i bring it back to my computer, it starts up and the virus is instantly detected by norton and says access to file denied........
Any ideas?? I can't remove the virus either way, safe mode, nor system restore turned off. I'm stumped....... First time i bumped into a virus this powerful.

reboot in safe mode and do a norton scan in safe mode, that should remove it. If not try the free scan at bitdefender.com, also in safe mode of course.

Norton blows. I really like TrendMicro...

i guess i should really switch to a "better" antivirus program.
Any recommendations?
Kasper, Trend, AVG, etc....

AVG is the best, low resources.

NOD32 has worked great for me. Takes up half the memory firefox does.
