maybe.
but theres one feature that i REALLY like about ie7. and thats quick tabs. what it does is makes a small screenshot of each of the tabs and puts them next to each other, so you can have a visual of all of your tabs ('crtl + q' for those who didnt know). maybe firefox has this and i didnt realize it, but i like it a lot.

There is a plugin for Firefox that does that tab thumbnail thing. I just think its a gimicky thing. Firefox is faster and more secure and I love all the extensions...

You mean this http//www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/setup/learnmore/cleartype.mspx
I guess I should have done that.
Anyway, the browser looked pretty good. It is a little bit different as they removed pretty much all the stuff people don't use and added the new stuff people are now using RSS button, tabs, etc. etc. It was decent, and it's a look and style people can easily get used to.

LOL, you didn't click that link yourself, did you? ;)
It's actually the second beta, and I've now just removed it. (
Apparently it's not compatible with Symantec products like Norton SystemWorks or AV, which I can now personally attest to. Sadly I went through the trouble of trying a repair install before running across similar complaints rectified by downgrading back to IE6. Symantec won't offer an upgrade to comply with a beta, so it's gonna be this way until IE7 has a stable version.

IE7B2 fucked up my computer royally.

Also, Tholek, why are you even using Norton anyway? wink
Kaspersky all the way.

Does Kaspersky have a built in firewall?
theysayjump
08-05-2006 01:12:53
It depends which package you use. You can get the suite which does ha ve a firewall, you can get the basic which doesn't or you can get the firewall seperate.
Either way you'd still be getting them free. wink
Plus there's always the Windows XP firewall.

I've had Norton for a long time. It's like a house with an old foundation. Once you build on it to a certain point, it's more than it's worth to replace. ;)
When I need to reformat, and reinstall XP, or move onto Vista, I'll prolly change AV/Firewall apps.

True, kaspersky is damn expensive, they make cracks from the program but they don't last longer than a week and I don't like that stuff on my computer.

II've had mine cracked since 2004. Updated the versions since then, but my current license key expires in October.
