Godaddy appraisals are way off. More accurate appraisals can be found at dnforum.com

How does a domain gain that much value? I can see that based on hits and popularity of name, but I don't see how they have an accurate depiction of value.

I own and run http//digital-demand.com . I've been lookign for a new domain as well as a new name for the company. I want something that has a "brand" feel. Its killing me coming up with a name.

I was with them until last year i switched to GoDaddy because I found I could get more features wiht anohter hosting provider.

And, I believe the appraisal is an estimate, so anywhere from $950-$2500 is what I could most likely get for it. I don't believe they are 'way off'.

Unless you have traffic and income from that sharpmusik domain, I would be surprised if anybody paid you more than $50 for it.

There's www.godaddy.com[]www.godaddy.com and others. You can also buy domains if a hosting company offers one upon signing up with them, i.e. www.1and1.com[]www.1and1.com (what I use).

godaddy is the best.

use RADIOSHOW for 10% off.

also. they give out free hosting now too

lol, appraisals are only good if you can find a sucker to pay that much. Demand creates worth, if nobody wants the domain its worth normal domain fees. If for some reason you own a domain that lots of people want then its worth more.

i just bought www.ebayproblems.com .. hopefully all goes well and my hosting is approved.

i'm going to put up a forum and stuffs and people can discuss ebay problems, and people can answer, help others, etc.

they're acting like i never paid them. bastards.

[update] they're suppsoedly refunding my credit card. so i just decided to register the domain name with GoDaddy and utilize their free hosting for the time being.

Rest assured, I will never use dreamhost. ever. I'm using them temporarily on a friend's account, but will NOT renew the service when it runs out. Worst support ever.

www.ebayproblems.com is live... i'm using the free hositing for now. If I find that this site gets a significant amount of traffic, i'll consider upgrading the hosting.
