I liked "Sang Real", but "Bug Eyes" was just mediocre to me.

Edit--After getting to the end of "Sang Real" that stupid ass high-pitched laughing that continues for over 45 seconds ruined any good the song had. I HATE REPETITIVE NOISES IN SONGS.

go download the whole CD and listen to it, you won't be as disappointed.

im getting their older CD too, so i'll see if there's anything good on that.. another one that doesn't have repetitive noises and that's good is called "Matroshka (The Ornament)" ...

Whoa... I have a Cold CD that I haven't thought about and haven't added to my iPod... where the fuck is it?

Now I'm suddenly paranoid that I have all kinds of music I like that I've lost... the worst part is I've been finding CDs and music I thought I had on my iPod that I deleted/lost/etc. (

Anyway, I'll check these guys out too. I don't know if I still like Cold since I haven't heard them in years.

Yeah, I thought it wasn't too shabby. I haven't listened to it in a while but I listened to it a lot when it came out. I have been listening to A Willhelm Scream lately.

Wash your mouth out boy. Granted, they aren't anywhere near the greatest, I still think they are alright. On their new CD his voice doesn't sound as whiny if that is any consolation.

dredg is fuckin' tight. I've been listening to them for a while now. FYI, they have three albums, the first two of which are actually concept albums. The first, entitled Leitmotif, is a story about a man with a "spiritual disease" and he seeks out different cultures for a cure to this disease. The second, titled El Cielo, is much more complicated. Part of it is based on snippets from diaries of those who suffered from sleep disorders, and many of those snippets are included as lyrics. Here

http//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/El_Cielo

That explains it better.

Lastly, their new album (which is their weakest to date, but still amazing) is entitled Catch Without Arms. Sang Real is amazing, as is the title track, Bug Eyes, and every other song, (Spitshine and Planting Seeds deserve a note as well). Personally, I like El Cielo the best, and would reccomend, from that album, Same Ol' Road, Scissor Lock, Sorry But It's Over, and Convalescent. The lyrics for Scissor Lock could be some of my favorite ever, and it's such a well-crafted song overall. Good to hear people are getting into them. They deserve it.

P.S. The first d isn't supposed to be capitolized. I'm not sure why, though.

My sister's bf has seen Dredg numerous times in concert and loves them.

He said that their Catch Without Arms CD was overproduced, and they had to like sing about something (i can't remember what) or maybe it was change their style.. i dunno, but they changed something so that their record label wouldn't drop them. The "Catch without Arms" track is them singing about it...

He also said that they went into the desert for like a week or so and were writing the El Cielo CD and that they put a bunch of time/money into it.

But yea, I like El Cielo and Catch Without Arms better than Letitmotif

It sounds like their style changed dramatically from EC to CWOA. That doesn't surprise me. That's kind of what I felt like that song was about, anyways, but I didn't realize it was from a personal experience. I just thought it was generally people shouldn't sacrifice their integrity.

Leitmotif is heavier than their next two. Penguins in the Desert is amazing, if you like heavier stuff. Even still, El Cielo's their best. No question.

I used to go ono the body-building forums but I got too lazy to work out. I need to get some sort of a workout machine at my house, that way I WOULD work out all the time since it would be convenient and easy. I thought about getting the Bowflex but then I heard they weren't all they were cracked up to be.
