I hope they come out soon and then offer it on YFVI so that way I can finish freeipods for the regular video then get the touchscreen when they come out from TFVI. Doubt it though.

i heard sometime this year, some guy posted on some apple forum that everyone is stupid if they get the video ipods now cuz their crap compared to the new one that will come out in a few months, i love mine!

Man it seems like they JUST came out with the video iPod. Give people a chance to enjoy their new iPod before putting out new ones. Every time I see someone walking around with an iPod, it is always a old black and white screen. The video iPods aren't even really as widespread yet so it's crazy that they are putting out a new one.

I was wondering the same thing. I think I'll take it tho, cuz I need an iPod, then maybe like 7G or 8G, I'll sell it/trade it in for a new one. I wish I knew a release date. My bro got the photo iPod like a week before the video one came out. He wasn't too happy.

Yeah they came out with the new photo ipod late summer, and then the video ones a couple months later.
they release like 3 new ipods every year, it's impossible to keep up with apple.
I just got a 60 gig one too, I am going to boycott apple and all these new ipods for a while.

The only thing that gets me to upgrade my iPod is that the accessories and cases and such become obsolete.
If you look at the pods though, they look more fragile with every upgrade. I hate that.

Why would a screen be of the same durability as metal?
It must be replaceable; even PDAs, which don't undergo finger smudges, need their screens replaced.

they better fix the screen problem my screen got scrathed within minutes of removing it from the box. thye better fix that before they go making it so you have to touch the screen
