Say I make a square. I make one of the sides of the square red, but I decied to make it black. So I press control z. And the thing I did before that was kind of messed up too so I press control z again. Except when I press control z the second time it brings back the red part of the square.
Get what I mean? Why can't you make something and press control z a lot and erase more of it? Whenever I make something and press control z it just undoes the last thing I did and when I press control z again it redoes the thing I did and it gets annoying.
Is there any way I can change this?

you can go back further by doing it in the history window thing.

There's an option to change what ctrl+z does. Look around in the prefernces.

Yeah Ctrl+Z is just undo/redo. Ctrl+Alt+Z is Step Backwards.

Something about Photoshop n00bs that really annoys me...
...is when they whine before learning the shortcuts properly!

I'm really not a photoshop noob, it was just different than the sunflower version. My old version would automatically undo more with control z.
Just because I don't know one shortcut doesn't mean I'm a noob.
HA!

hahaha. the SUNFLOWER version? haha i never heard of someone version counting by the flowers on their logo! wow.
anyway. thats only because you set it like that. The program is shipped, by default, with [b995a6b4d0c]one[/b995a6b4d0c] undo....
