The same thing happened to me. It broke in two, but I put it back together, and it worked good as new )

haha, i haven't heard of someone washing a flash drive yet....the newest one was a friend who got his cell phone submerged in a hot tub. didn't work for a while, but after taken it apart and drying it...magically it works!

I've jumped in the pool a few times before realizing I had mine in my pocket. Still works great.

I also somehow managed to wash an SD card (don't even know why it was in my pocket) and it still works.

For cell phones and other such electronics DON'T turn it on while it's still wet, and preferably take it apart and pour some rubbing alcohol on it. It evaporates almost instantly and takes the water with it so it won't stay in there and cause rust and/or corrosion.

Hmm didn't know that. Interesting tip. I'll keep that in mind. wink

yeah cell phones will break if u turn them on when wet but if they remain off and u take it apart and dry it, they will work. ive jumped gone in pool and ocean with my phone and it still works. a blowdryer works very good for drying the phone up fast.

yeah, no kidding. at least it wasn't my phone...but, i am an idiot and it will probably indoubtably do something like that.

A blowdryer is a really bad idea for a phone. It forces the water further into the phone, from what I've read on phone forums.

Hehe, I almost did this the other day. I was throwing my jeans into the washer and I'm so glad I checked my pants pocket (which I don't usually do) and found it in there. I had it in that little tiny pocket inside the big pocket that nobody ever uses )

Along with pushing water further into it, you could melt the thin insulation on little wires and other plastic in there. Don't use a blowdryer - either use alcohol, or just let it sit for a long time until you're sure it's dry.
